[CONCLUDED] Capcom Cup 2015 Finals

WHHOOOOAAAAAAA!!! Offering jobs at Capcom??? Now that’s an announcement!

Too bad niggas have bad match ups with job applications.

Eternal get that job

Put on a big ol pot of coffee, stayed up for top 8.

Next year I’m just going to bring a coffee maker with me, lol.

$5 says you gotta be proficient in coding or something like that. I ain’t got that experience yet, only started learning java/c# in the last year.

Very short opening imo.

I agree, I was kind of surprised. Also it didn’t even show all of the characters, hell it didn’t even show all of the new characters.

Damn, I think imma apply for a job at capcom lol. It sounded like they wanted me people like combofiend, who just learnt ideas that they think would improve the game and maybe lie to the public and say they’re taking in feedback even though the results show otherwise.

Omg guys the Elena presence this CC clearly shows how ridiculous that character is though right? lol

I think that if they want people like that they’d want those with experience in some form

Either
A. Coding / Experience in the game industry
or
B. Long time exposure to competitive side of the game at a high level.

She just shows off how dry the game can get and a very poor implementation of the already not so great implementation of ultras.

You better pray for that Elena has appeared in pretty much 3 matches out of the entire tournament
You better pray she didn’t win the tourney itself or placed anywhere in Top 8
And you better thank Ono for her not being present in SF5… at least not yet

Thank god Evil Ryu didnt win the tournament and we were able to end this bad game with a shoto losing. Hopefully SF5 wont have 25 shotos like SF4 had.

Assassin’s fist was great and respectful to the canon, so they actually did learn.

This one though…eh

Amazing

I’m no perfect legend fan, but you gotta believe they didn’t mean to throw shots. Just a hilarious coincidence in word choice.

Probably but David bringing up how if Daigo went 3-0 in GFs Kazunoko would have gone 13-0 against him was too good

Welp it was fun for SFIV. Put my 2 years in for Vanilla and Super and just wasn’t feeling it. Ultra had some of the greats do some good stuff tonight, but seeing all of the desperation ultras, long ass hit box lights converting into full combos, invincible backdashing and diving owning footsies makes me remember that I didn’t miss much either. Elena healing would have topped it off but luckily that shit got knocked out before it could get started.

Thanks but no thanks SFIV. I’m ready for V.

So, guys, now that the tournament has concluded

How do you feel about this whole thing?

Do you think this was an appropriate way to say goodbye to Street Fighter 4, as we welcome Street Fighter 5 starting Febraury and going into 2016’s Capcom Pro Tour?

Will you miss the game and the “main stage” environment it has been in pretty much the since the first big tournament held back in 2009 up until this day?

What do you personally feel about these past 7 years? Were you there since the game first game out? Did you join the community at a later date with Super/AE/Ultra?

Do you have any moments or stories you could share about the time you’ve spent with the game and your experiences with it?

Maybe you feel it’s too soon? Or maybe a bit late and SF4 should’ve gone into the annals of history 1-2 years ago?

How will the community be shaped starting from 2016 and beyond? Will the current rising FGC starts move on to SF5? Or will they stay with SF4? Maybe run both games at once?

Maybe. Depends on who’s running the account. If it’s someone from the “Illuminati” who’s friends with Floe, then it might be.
