[CONCLUDED] Capcom Cup 2015 Finals

If I had to bet money, I’d put it on Daigo.
However I would not ever do that since it’s a double elimination bracket with bo3/bo5 set, and thus everything can happen.

mein nigger momochi

I thought the prize pool was 500k. Where did the other 250K go to? I don’t remember if anything about it being paid during the other tournaments leading up to Capcom Cup was mentioned.

Welp pretty much can count out US winning. If we make it in the money it’ll be nice LOL.

E.Ryu vs Elena grand finals. Medium Attacks vs. Light Attacks.

PS: Still mainly only watching this for the SFV news.

IIRC every CPT event had a 15k prize pool donated by capcom.

So basically the other 250k was already given out to whoever won the other events?

Only premier events had the $15,000 prize pool added.

sooo

one last time for SF4 huh

I CAN FEEL IT OVER ME I CAN FEEL IT ALL AROUND ME

This. All Premiere events get 15k. Ranking events get jack and shit.

Okay that makes sense. However, I did check and there were 16 premier events, so that totals up to 240k. SOMEBODY is holding out on that 10K !

Yea this is what I meant.

Evo gets 25k.

EVO got 50k. Out of the 16 premier events, only 13 got the 15k pot bonus. Neither Japanese premier events(but Taito did provide prize money for their own event) or the Brazilian event got a pot bonus. Don’t know why but it says so on the CPT website. Funny thing is that all the Premier Events totaled up to 245k with Capcom Cup paying out 250k at the time so the grand total was 495k altogether. I guess someone finally realized the mathematical error and they bumped up the 1st place total another 5k(on the Capcom Unity site anyways) so that it would finally be an even 500k for the entire Pro Tour.

Because getting money for winning video game tournaments is illegal in Japan last I checked.

My predictions of the first round are:

-Momochi
-RB

-Poongko
-Itazan

-Fuudo
-Humanbomb

-Mago
-Dark Jiewa

-Xian
-Valmaster

-Nemo
-Dashio
This can go either way…

-Gamerbee
-Gackt

-Snake Eyez
-Keoma

-Kazunoko
-801Strider

-Luffy
-Problem X

-XiaoHai
-NuckleDu

-Bonchan
-Misse

-Daigo
-Dieminion

-Tokido
-Shiro

-JWong
-Tonpy

-Infiltration
-Dakou

Luffy winning means nothing really changed. Looks like this is the final first round bracket.

Top 8 winners

[details=Spoiler]Poongko (supposedly has an Elena -__-)
Nemo
Du
Daigo/Infil[/details]

I have a surprising amount of confidence in Du this time, don’t ask me why. Losers is completely random, so many good players can go 0-2 its ridiculous. If Poongko is on his A game and has a decent Elena, I can see him getting top 3; however, My bet is on Kaz/Infil/Daigo/Nemo/Momochi to win it all.

As someone that loves watching Infiltration play, and thinks he has all the tools, and knows him personally, I’m going for Momochi this time. I think he’s at the top of the hill, and I think people are going to have a hard time beating him. I also know Poongko, and he’s strong, but he’s no where near the top of what he can do, and he can get blown up to someone he hasn’t played with or someone he’s played too much with.

For example, Infiltration makes him look nearly free montly at ArcadeStream, during after hours casuals, Hantankang does extremely well against him with both going full force every time. Certainly Poongko can beat him, but given that Nemo is by far a better Rolento than Hantankang, could he beat him if it came down to it when it matters the most? On the obverse, a guy from Busan came to Seoul in October to ArcadeStream for the tournament and took Poongko to the last round of a set with Cody, and know one knew who the fuck this guy was, was from NorCal, and just came cause he saw us streaming tournaments and wanted to come out.

If Momochi doesn’t take it, I’d take any of these in order:
Infiltration
Gamerbee
Bonchan
Daigo
Xian
Nemo

I think Strider can make Top 8 if he can make it past Kazunoko. I think Dieminion could make Top 8 if he just stays focused. He has a 35% chance against Daigo IMO, but he is good at playing in Loser’s even if he loses to Daigo, so he should be fun to watch.
