Really interested to see what changes from the players when the 3/5 comes in. If we see some players come back 3 after losing 2 it’ll show how important that can be.

Strider flexes more than Abel.
The last time they faced off Luffy rocked Momochi 5-2 (Topanga World League 2 in April). I think he’ll be fine.
The commentators bringing up Strider as the original Abel but don’t mention Rico, Ryder or Juicebox. I think Ryder might be the only one that came after Vanilla.
Shiro and AC Revenger were the big Japan Abels.
…and Nekojita. Never 4get…
Bonchan also lost to a lesser player in Snake Eyez E. Ryu. Both losses because they simply jumped in over several tiger shots.

He busted out the command grab too late into the set. He got down backed more then he should have. By the time he adjusted he just couldn’t execute. Mago still could have taken it.

bye Momo. Luffy was in complete control after the first round. Momo had life lead every round late after that but had no idea how to open Luffy up

If so, good. My most hated character is out of the cup.
To be fair Luffy has a pretty predictable style. You need to on top of your tech game to do much and Momochi was not executing at a high enough level to make that rough matchup more even.
2/3 starting to hurt the integrity of this tournament imo
Nah, some people didn’t treat threats like the threats they were. Too much nervousness also making people revert to a more basic style that doesn’t work in some matches.
