Is Winamp the best program to use? I’ve been using it for years and I haven’t really tried out many other applications. Is there anything else even worth trying or is Winamp still the way to go?

well I got a logitech desktop which includes both a mouse and keyboard. this is the exact one I got:

well I use the included cd and install the software. succesful. all this while i have the wireless receiver hooked up to the usb port. So I reset my computer and the keyboard is working fine. But the mouse is not, what’s the deal? 
right now I’m using a temporary PS/2 ball mouse, and I hope that doesn’t continue much longer. anyone know what’s up?
I use an older version of winamp. Last time I tried a newer version, it felt like there was too much to it.
pro is fine.
the hub probably doesn’t supply it enough power. plug it into your computer.

well, i’ve had a lot of that specific bundle come back to me at work… they get returned and exchanged for the microsoft one, which is about $20 more.

foobar2k extremely light weight and customizable.
I use foobar2000 as well.
theres nothing anybody can do to fix it. the comp got pwnn. i turn it on, it all black and word start pop up n shit. i press f2 and fix the problem but no work. it ask press f1 if i want to continue and ignore the problem. i press f1 and it say some f raid cant b loaded.
can i just mail them the damn comp so they look at it, cuz i dont think i wanna sit n tell them wtf wrong with my comp, when i dun even know wtf wrong with it.
foobar is great. i’m still going to use winamp though, since i paid for it. haha
call them and find out. no sense to keep asking us, as we’ll give yout he same answer. just call them up, and see what’s going on.

And how the hell do you get a crossover cable to work between two computers? I tried changing the IP addresses and shit I read online but I couldn’t figure it out; I want step by step instructions for a Vista and an XP laptop. And can you use an ad hoc network to transfer files between two computers, and if so how? Couldn’t figure that out either.
So is XP Service Pack 2 really necessary? My desktop came with it, but the laptop I ordered only has XP Pro on it. Would antivirus and spyware protection get the job done?
