Complete Oro Thread

well i can do it with mp chicken dance both times but its easier to do HP…maybe that’s the problem…plus it’s really hard to do the double hadoken before the second hit from cl.MP hits…any tips on that?

edit:OMG!! i was one hit away!!! damn that’s awful…i literally got all the way to the end just now but the final standing roundhouse dropped! oh well i guess the means it works now…thank you for your help i just need practice.

I don’t really have any substantial tips specific to that cancel. Yes, it’s fast. I fuck it up a lot ha. For one thing, since you’re trying to complete the trial, I’d say make sure you’re doing the combo on the side your motion hand is better with. Also, make sure you are only doing 3 inputs for each hadouken. If you’re making like a big ass cranking motion for the 2x qcf, it’s gonna be harder. Are 2x qcfs in general hard for you? I’m assuming you’re a Marvel player because of your avatar. If so, I’d say to sit in training mode with like Ken or Chun and practice low forward super or cr mp SAIII with Ken or something. Or training mode with Oro and practice the 2 hit MPxxx EX Tengu w/o any chicken dances, then warm up to the whole combo. Sorry if that isn’t any help :frowning:

you’ve helped quite a bit…and yes i’m a marvel player and the 2x qcf motions are a lot easier there…like i said i almost got the combo all the way i just need some practice…thank you

Uhh…buffer the first qcf before you hit mp. It’s not hard.

Can you really do that? I’ve tested in training mode and never gotten it right. I’m gonna assume you aren’t outright lying since you post a decent amount and don’t seem like a jackass. Is there any way you can record your hands doing this so I can learn the timing? Because tbh I dropped Oro over the summer because of this.

As long as we’re still talking about the standard chicken combo into EX Tengu, then yeah of course. I can’t tell if you’re serious about this. You have kind of a million years to get back to mp and the second qcf after buffering the first.

Now if you mean the mp 2hit, walk up mp one hit xx Tengu, you can’t buffer for that. That’s the hard one, at least for me.

yup once you practice the buffer for like 10 minutes max its basically the easiest thing ever

Been trying to work on my resets for Oro with chicken combo.

My favorite so far is: cl.mpxxchicken, cl.mpxxchicken, c.mpxxyagyou, cl.mpxxchicken

You guys have any other good resets? Maybe dash shenanigans? inB4 Tengu to finish the chickens.

one i use a lot is: chicken loop but instead of ending with cl.mpxxsuper, i do a really late st.lp and dash under them onto the other side and start the chicken loop all over again. if they get privy to what you’re doing then do the st.lp ender a little earlier and dash and you’ll end up in front of them instead of behind them. you can use st.lk as well to do this.

Apparently, chicken combo doesn’t work on Hugo unless you’re in the corner and only for one rep <_< Or am I just messing up?

Chicken combo does not work on hugo midscreen. You can do the full loop on him in the corner, just time it really late.

The EX fireball homes in on the opponent, so it’s trajectory depends on your spacing relative to the other player.

hugo’s juggles are a bit harder. i used to do one that was an easier unblockable but it wasn’t a loop. i can’t remember now what it was so i’ll go into training mode. in the meantime, here’s some cool hugo juggles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dauF2h3CQ8Q

is it possible to charge fast enough to do empty normal jump into ex shoryu? i can do empty normal into lowshort ex/regular but cant get the straight up ex to come out fast enough

superjump and double jump are both easy (and essential assets against people who mash throw or normals after you jump)

and is there a way to cancel straight up ex shoryu into yagou dama? i can only seem to get it to cancel after a two in one off of low short or forward

or did they realize how broken that would be on wakeup and not allow it haha

just partition the oni yanma. crouch briefly then jump and do it as normal when you land. ex oni to yagyou works fine.
