Any updates Geronimo, I have been way busy and had no time for edits or even aim for that matter lately.

I’ve been workin’ on a new set for shits and giggles. Did them all (only about 7.5 characters though) “completely” on Christmas 'cuz I had nothing better to do.

I’ve been reading this thread over and I was inspired so I came up with a few combinations:

I know they are nowhere near as crisp or polished as some of the other ones you guys have posted, but I figured I would post them anyways. Also, I realize the lower left Magnus may not look all that great in the image, but in gameplay it looks incredible.
did you make the yellow/black costume?
Do you guys normalize the Mp3s for your custom mixes? I am going to try Mp3 Gain, which I read is decent. I hate having tracks where one has really deep bass and others you can barely hear.

I try to do that in CoolEdit Pro, usually with mixed results. Let me know how that works for you. :wgrin:

I don’t know about normalizing, but I have gotten some good results when I boost the audio volume by 25% 2x using Sound Recorder. Sometimes tracks will be a bit on the loud side, but that is much better than the tracks being low volume.
Word I have been pretty busy as of late, but whenever I get around to it I will post up in this thread.

I have tried “eye balling” the volume before but I am a perfectionist and I hate mixes where the music just comes out way too loud. It sounds really stupid, just look at most tourney vids where they use custom mixes. It sounds like the speakers have been blown out.
You and Doc are doing some amazing stuff and I gotta say it has inspired me to get into this whole color modding thing.

Yeah I hear ya (no pun intended) on that one. I think Soundforge is an excellent audio editing program, so you should test that out for sure.
People go overboard with the volume. I only increase the volume by 50%, as opposed to the 100% or 125% a lot of other people do.
The program I plan to use, MP3Gain, lets you normalize a set of mp3s all at once. You stick the mp3s in a folder and MP3Gain does the rest. Sounds almost too easy, so I need to test it out.
I have used Nero Wav editor in the past, but I need something more consistent.
