oh i see…so can you edit colours for ps2 or is it just music?
Where is the “dummy file” placed on the cd when making custom Mvc2
is it at the beginning of the disc?
at the end?
or somewhere in the middle?
ideally you want it in the beginning i assume as you want the actual data on the outer edge of the cd. I have to ask this because for the longest time a buddy of mines who is in the works of his own Mvc2 buring program, said if you name the dummy file to “!!!” it should be place before all the rest of the data in the marvel data folder. he menitoned if you name it “dummy” your actual dummy file may be in the middle (worst possible place) as you will have data before it and after it making the DC n DC laser work way harder. later he mentioned maybe labelling the “dummy file” to “000dummy” as another option.
anways i would like some input on this, what program(s) to use to test it and if anybody has actually tested where the dummy file is really placed. oh yeah also if there any sort file system setup when making the custom mvc2
thank you very much to all
The DC reads discs from the outside in. The dummy should always be burned first, followed by everything else. At least, that is how I remember it. Not sure how DC iso does it.
thanks bro, but i understand that the dummy should/needs to be burned first, but i guess my question should is how does combomashers custom mvc2 burn the data? and what about the DOS/Echelon Method?
this makes me think about the next question and that is does the “dummy” file get burned on the cd before the “audio tracks” or after?
Preppy, doc, and eidrian: Hit me up.

We’re proud to host for you Eidrian’s project:
- How To Edit Character Colors
- How To Edit Character Colors (printable version)
This covers and only covers how to edit the extra (body) palettes for every character, such as Storm’s FP, Cyke’s HK, everybody’s intro colors, and everything else that requires more than one simple edit. It leaves out stuff like recoloring projectiles/helpers, but this should be a monumental leap forward for everyone.
If you’re editing colors, I most highly recommend you give this a look. It should be incredibly helpful and this way your characters won’t look dumb flashing back to the wrong / unedited colors.
Awesome job, Eidrian.
Woot!!!
It’s out!!! Merry Christmas everyone. Lol.
And great job eidrian, if I could, I would replace the “Marvel vs Capcom 2” title screen with “eidrian’s the mother effing man”
Thanks for hosting! Have fun editing, any questions feel free to ask.
Congrats on finishing.

But… Have you a link for Xbox’s version?
*fixed below.
I appreciate your tenacity, but just use ALT+PRINTSCREEN and then paste the result into MSPaint and save as PNG. Do not save as JPEG, it’ll dither the colors.
Been busy as fuck lately, should be on tonight after work though.
If you want some help cleaning those up lemme know. Not a bad start though.
working on a mix right now http://xs222.xs.to/xs222/07512/trashscheme.jpg
if you see anything that could be improved upon criticism is welcome. Yes the color scheme is over used but hey who cares right? can always burn another copy
Johnny: Yeah, I used to forget that shortcut all the time. Now I just forget to switch the FKeys back after I enable PrtScrn. =P
Psycho:
faves: red/black CapCom, both Sents, black/blue Hulk, grey psylocke
It’s hard to tell me what they look like at 1x. I like pictures at 2x - even though they will look more like the 1x characters onscreen, 2x shows the detail better. =)
ones I don’t like: black/blue Iron Man and Doom looks too dark. black skin/red shorts Hulk looks too dark. red/black Cyke looks a little too dull.
I think the dark colors are really hard to edit - some of those look pretty good. It’ll be most interesting to you to see them on the TV screen anyways. White and black seem to look a lot different on the TV monitor. =\
As regards using the color scheme over everybody, hey, that’s what most everybody is doing anyways. It’s nice to have the buttons synced up so that LP anybody is some certain color. =)
any tips would be appreciated. sucks that changing some things changes other things that you don’t want changed.
Sure, get at me on AIM sometime.
I have refused to do this for the most part for 2 reasons.

I don’t like seeing the computer all wear the same shit the whole game, gets old REAL fast.

I’ve edited so many move sets it would take ages to copy and paste into a word doc, then copy and paste the next button into a word doc, then copy and paste the first set back into pal mod, and then the 2nd set. :looney::looney::looney::looney::looney:
