Psylocke featured in some recent match video. =P

Code: (#10000F222FFFFF456F244F000F000F000FFCFF320F100F000F516F102FFE8F982)

Made me a orange and brown sent, but i still can’t figure out the gut discoloration issue. :sad:
code: (#10000F000FD95F852F642F531F321F210FF80FD50FB50F830F520F220FFFFFF14)

To fix the gut discoloration you must copy that same color to the first Extra of that button. eg.
00 LP --> 01 LP (Extra - 02)
08 LK --> 01 LK (Extra - 0A)
10 HP --> 01 HP (Extra - 12)
18 HK --> 01 HK (Extra - 1A)
20 A1 --> 01 A1 (Extra - 22)
28 A2 --> 01 A2 (Extra - 2A)

Ah ok now i got it working, thanx alot dude.
peace

heyday is it legal to ask for just the original music files? I never saved them from my first custom mix and im tired of custom music now. I just need the stages and character select

Anyone working on exactly what is needed to properly edit colossus? He is my main character and it would be awesome to have a write up.

Whens this occur?

he is pretty simple, just look through his palettes and see his default colors then look at which ones are white… just keep those colors white and you should be good, he has about 12 per button, so just keep coping your original edited color, onto the extras but make sure you remember the white sections, those are the only things you edit. first it will be 1 patch of the palette moving from 01-15 then it will be 2 moving from 01/02-14/15 then i think three, its easy once you notice the pattern, its the same for iceman and silver sam. just make sure you remember the pattern, or else your shine effects will be all off.

im not able to look at the files right now, but im sure eidrian might have something written down, since i have been out of comission as of late.

For each button you would need to edit these specific entries

Yes, that does mean there are 33 edits required per character costume. Luckily, the red part of his outfit generally stays around the same color. Only the bib, silver, and the glint will change in most palettes.

The general layout of each set of 31 palettes (ignoring the 03 (button) outfit):
first 6: bib + armor lighten each time. a glint (15/15/15) moves down from ID7
normal
next 3: dark to light transition with roving glint
almost normal with glint in id4
next 5: normal to near white transition
white
next 6: very dark to normal
normal
next 6: very dark to very bright with roving glint
almost normal

I HIGHLY recommend having at least two copies of PalMod open so you can trace the costume changes and see how they do it. That makes it not simple but straight-forward. I have not bothered to figure out which specific attribute of Colossus each set of palettes edits. I’m presuming there’s the normal glintiness first, his powerup super taking effect, him being powered up, and I don’t know what fourth set would be. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out if you want … these notes are just meant to be a handy starting point. It’s quite nice that his bib is always constant at the beginning of each chunk of palettes to edit.

Mexicano Colossus: (#10000F000FEEDFBBBF99AF768F548F025F281F060F040F020FE30FC22F911F700) ?

Doesn’t matter if colossus is complete, he doesn’t change colors when he’s being hit anyway

yeah but just standing there he changes constantly
and his power up

he is pretty simple, i can do his palette in about 5 min
just keep the original button color copied and paste it onto each extra
just add white… or whatever color you want his shine to be onto these sections of the palette

all for LP

for (0A)-(0E) add one point of luminacence
just select the palette as a whole, and click the luminance slider, make sure not to move it, then press the right arrow till you notice an overall change in his brightness, then stop and go to the next one, just keep the brightness change a constant
(09) extra - 07
(0A) extra - 06
(0B) extra - 05
(0C) extra - 04
(0D) extra - 03
(0E) extra - 02
the numbers after the palette number are the ID numbers that are the shine on that palette, should be white but can be any color you would like, but it has to be the same color through out the button, or it wont look right
continuing…

(0F) extra - no change from original
(10) extra - 02-07
(11) extra - 06-07
(12) extra - 04-05
(13) extra - 02-03
for (14)-(17) the shine is a little bit dimmer, on mine the shine is a pure white (15,15,15) but on these its a (14,14,14)
(14) extra - 07
(15) extra - 06
(16) extra - 05
(17) extra - 04

for (18)-(1A) add that number of luminance to the entire palette, ex: (18) extra - add 58 luminance to the entire palette
(18) extra - +58
(19) extra - +76
(1A) extra - +88
same thing as for the above add, or subtract, that much luminance
(1B) extra - (-18)
(1C) extra - (-12)
(1D) extra - (-9)
(1E) extra - no change from original
(1F) extra - +6
(20) extra - +50
(21) extra - no change from original
ok (22) - (29) are a little strange
the format is like this for (22) - (24)
+(luminance to add) (ID of Shine)
(22) extra - +12 (07)
(23) extra - +18 (06)
(24) extra - +24 (05)
for (25) and (26) add the luminance but keep ID 01 completely black
(25) extra - +42
(26) extra - +56
(27) extra - +71
(28) extra - no change from original
for 29 add the luminance to only his skin (01-07) but his shine will be on 07
(29) extra - +18 (07)

ok and thats it
it seems complicated but you should get the hang of it after 2 edits
so yeah its 32 palettes

starts at (2D) for LP

LP
Power-up Flash
(2D-32)
(2D) extra - all white
(2E) extra - +64 Luminance
(2F) extra - +50 Luminance
(30) extra - +32 Luminance
(31) extra - +21 Luminance
(32) extra - leave alone, gold color when power-up flash
(51) extra - (02-05) just copy the costume color (06-15) onto this leave the face alone, just click and hold on ID06 then drag it to ID15 and release. from (06-15) should be selected, just press CTRL+C on your original color and go to this palette, with those still selected and paste it… do the same for his taunt palettes
taunt
(63-68)
this one might be a little more tricky… what you can do is just select his costume colors (06-15) and paste them over these, that way it leaves the face alone and it will keep that same red tone, unless you changed his actual skin color. then you have to edit that skin color, with the red tone
you just have to have red at 15, and minus one point from the green and blue for each of the 6 palettes. i recommend you leave his skin color alone.

Juggernaut
ok for hte power up you are supposed to add a red tint… to hell with that
i added a luminance to it and it looks just fine… cause adding a red hue to all of it is a real pain, maybe you can do it to just his skin (02-06) but thats your preference. this is for adding luminance to his power-up not redness
(09) extra - not sure if its used
(0A) extra - complete black
(0B) extra - +6 Luminance

For those still wondering if you can change the music for 3S on xbox, I can say yes—thanks Combomasher! And if you’re running it off the hdd, you can just transfer/edit without burning anything. I’m guessing you can do the same thing with PS2 and Winhiip.

sorry for the late response, well i dont have it on this comp, i have it on my laptop which isnt connected to the internet, and i really dont have the time right now to hook it up. but i believe Preppy has a copy of my edits and might be able to put em up…

=)

Haha, I kept that version completely unseen so as not to accidentally steal your thunder. :ninja: But I’ll look that up and put up that color string when I get home tonight. :tup:

EDIT: Wow, how do we not have a ninja emoticon? :sad:

thanks for that man
i have to update you on my work soon
