Thanks for the info…
Anytime. Just pm, AIM, or MSN me if you need anything else. I’m just trying to save Combomasher some time.
whenever i try and make a cvs2, i get all the way to the self boot part and then it says “C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose ‘close’ to termine the application.” Then i have the option to close or ignore, either way it is not self bootable. Then if i try and play the game using a boot disc, it will have the red percentage number on the left hand bottom corner, and then it will just stop, and go to a black screen. I really want this cvs2 mix so if somebody could help me out it would b much appreciated…shit, i’ll even send u the songs n everything to make it for me…or if i could juss figure out how to fix the problems.
Alright here it is. My custom Mvc2 tutorial. It has all the programs as well as the PDF itself. Thats to BlazeD for hosting it. http://combovideos.net/feartetsuo/CustomMvc2.rar
yo Combo, can you tell me what programs you used to make cvs2 work or how you did it??
Great tutorial. I will say however, that there is a faster way to do it that I am yet to have not work.
On another note…someone send me a pm about how 3s and cvs2 can be related to this topic…
just in case anyone didnt know…(i didnt see it clarified)…those l’s are L’s and the 0’s are zeroes…i’ve seen many people screw that one up…
Peace

I used a very good program called ExoBoot. The link for it is here: http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=21680&page=18&pp=15 The newer version of the program is on the 18th page. It is the only way that I can get custom cvs2’s to work. Mabye its just me, but the method for mvc2 doesnt work for cvs2. But this program does the job.
Anyone know which adx_st goes to which stage? I don’t want to put music I don’t want on the wrong stage.
is the whole method different or just the selfboot part?? if so, what are the differences??
just the selfboot part is different. When i use the selfboor program called selfboot, i get and error that says it cant find the ip bin and some stuff like that. When i use ExoBoot, i do not get that error and the game works. I think something about the way cvs2 is setup is different then mvc2.
through personal experience with making both CVS2 and MvC2 i have found out…
DO NOT UP THE VOLEUME WITH SOUND RECORDER
Not only does it screw up voices, but it will screw up the bass of the song as well and make it all scratchy.
as long as the songs you download are 128 or 196 quality they will work fine with out ajusting after conversion to Wav.
and if you think its a little too low, then just turn down the SFX voleume in the mvc2 game its self
ST00 - Aomori
ST01 - Shanghai
ST02 - Nairobi
ST03 - Kinderdijk
ST04 - London
ST05 - Barentsburg
ST06 - New York
ST07 - Osaka 1 arena
ST08 - Osaka 2 rooftop
ST09 - Theme of Shin Gouki
ST0A - Theme of God Rugal
ST0B - Training
i got converting all the songs and everything but does anyone know how to change the backround in the game or changing the lables for names and shit. thanks.
I use a program called Cool Edit 2000 when i edit my wavs…It lets you cut out parts of the track that you dont want and lets you amplify the sound without screwing up the quality…

PM ME ABOUT CUSTOM 3S…(i want to make one)
send me a copy of that proggy plz
would help when i work on my mvc2’s also would be god for cutting out the begining of good techno songs that are too long, and making like a 2 hour long remix of songs for the training
OK, is doing whatever that’s on that link on the first page of this topic almost the same way to make a custom CvS2? I’m having trouble with this now. I think its the 1st_read.bin part. But I’m not sure if the 1st_read.bin file on that site only works with MvC2.
it only works with marvel
I dont need a marvel Image file please :<
OK, explain how to work this? Do I have to change the image.nrg to image.bin first? This program doesn’t seem easy to use.
