Anybody been able to make mixes on Windows 7? I’ve run into a ton of problems as opposed to when I was making them on XP. Bin2boot and several other programs that never failed me have compatibility issues on Win7 (going to properties and compatibility didn’t fix this).

I’ve converted all my songs, made an iso…I just need to make it selfboot and convert to CDI. I even tried to do the DOS prompt way, but still no dice (because that method also utilizes the programs that aren’t compatible…). Not sure how to go about this.

IIRC a big part of their problems revolves around them touching memory badly. If you can turn off … DEP, that might help them run better on 32bit Win7. I don’t think they’d work on Win7 64bit, since you only get one layer of WOW (64->32, 32->16) and IIRC some of those tools are 16bit.

IIRC, I got it to work but they’d still crash. I just ignored it and the end result worked. Or something like that. =\

Yeah, sadly I am working on 64bit. Actually I got this one program to work for my CDI image (bootdreams) but it gave me one that was over a gig in size…the hell?

I’ll try and see if I can use my sister’s laptop to get past the compatibility issues…if not, I dunno.

You could always use a VHD or otherwise virtualized environment… =\

i had the same issues with my windows vista pc. luckily my work pc has xp.

Actually tried that awhile back, mostly so I could use the previous version of Media player but after I’d finished everything, gotten all the updates and verified the legitimacy of my OS, after the mandatory restart my computer would always crash. It got so bad I had to do a system restore.

Yeah, I’ve had my eye on XP virtual for awhile. My sister is not letting me use her laptop with older OS so I don’t know what to do at this point.

so does anyone know how to bypass the 64bit selfboot problem? im trying to make a new custom marvel and this shit is annoying…

^This…and yes it’s a fucking annoyance.

Just posting this up here for anyone that was wondering what was on the NEC-XI I brought over during the past weekend:

Logo: Vital Remains: "Let The Killing Begin"
Intro: Behemoth: Transmigrating Beyond Realms Ov Amenti (intro)
Menu: The Monolith Deathcult: Der Ensomme Nordens Dronning (intro)
Select: Vital Remains: Forever Underground (intro)
Ship: Rhapsody: The Pride of the Tyrant
Desert: Darkane: Layers of Lies
Carnival: Slayer: World Painted Blood
Factory: MvC3: Wesker’s Theme (Wind of Madness)
Cave: DMC4: The Time Has Come
Tower: Rammstein: Freuer Frei
Marsh: Nevermore: Born (The Retribution of Spiritual Sickness)
Pier: Dethklok: Laser Cannon Deth Sentence
Abyss: Testament: Dog Faced Gods

Training:
MvC3: Doctor Doom Theme
Dimmu Borgir: Gateways
Exodus: Downfall
Hypocrisy: Hang Him High
Iced Earth: Wolf
Death: Crystal Mountain
Control Denied: Expect The Unexpected
Vital Remains: I Am God (solo)

obviously it works with XP but tha selfboot process works with Vista aswell but is impossible on Windows 7 unless they alter the program to work on windows 7, which i highly doubt.

I eventually just did it by transfering my ISO and program folder to my sister’s laptop with 98 on it. =/ Only way I could get mine completed.

Haha, six months later, I’m glad you like it :woot:

damn where can i get that sweet mix from the neo vs clockwork moneymatch ?

I forgot the answer to this but, why cant I get a preview image on the palmod?

make it yourself. He posted the track listing in another thread. just gotta make your own color pallets the way you want them. It’s what i did

so where do i find the tracklist ?

edit:found it
