Complete "How to Change the Music in MVC2 + How to make your game selfboot" Thread

For the people having trouble using cdrecord, i suggest installing ASPI drivers, most likely [this.](http://66.90.101.162/~combovid/eidrian/aspi (for cdrecord).rar) (Remember my server is a bitch and won’t let you download unless you right click > Save as the link). Install, reboot and retry. I believe this helped me before, so it might work for you.

On another note, someone sent me a Doc_Final.rar, i need an avatar for this mix, cuz i don’t really remember who sent it in. Yeah i’m screwed up like that. =P

Anyways, let me know cuz I’m having the compilation ready the next week or so.

It didn’t work  , thx for the help anyways. If someone can help me out then let me know thx

I believe that would be Doc Mighty
if you want i can hit him up on AIM and see what i can do about that avatar

Out of curiosity. Is it possible to take custom soundtracks and colours from the DC and implement them into the PS2 MvC2? Like the ones Eidrian has.

new to site and making custom soundtrack

Hey i have been searching on google for answers and this site. Please do not flame me for this post!

I have been trying to burn my custom mvc2 all weekend long and I have the constant rebooting problem! I have followed the instructions from the beginning of this thread to burn my custom soundtrack, but when I put the game into the dc it just gets to the sega logo and just reboots from there.

I have tried using exoboot, discjuggler, etc, etc. I am about to break my DC because this have been frustrating me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

your probablly doing something wrong in cdrwin or you need to replace the 1stread.bin and ip.bin file

i did the step where i cut and paste the 1stread.bin and ip.bin out of my data file, hacked the 1st_read.bin successfully and re-inserted the 1st_read.bin into the data file.

Could i have a bad ip.bin file?

This is really ticking me off…

try replacing those to files again, and make sure that your doing everything correctly in cdrwin

in cdrwin i mounted the raw audio file and burned that succesfully. THen i went to the file and backup tools and burned my data.iso used cd-xa mode2.

When I did the first burn, it completed the burn but it had the same rebooting problem.

When I did the second burn, it wouldn’t finish the burn because there was an error somewhere. Forgive me I forgot what the error message was.

What else do i need to do in cdrwin in order to make this work?

your doing it the hard way, the easy way is to create the iso then selfboot it into a cdi

do option one instead of option 2 in the tutorial

I have the data.iso how do I selfboot it to a cdi?
Does the data.iso contain the audio file in it? Or do i still have to burn that audio raw file and then burn the data.iso?

When you say option 2, do you mean mode 2? I am confused

Your help is greatly appreciated.

the way your trying to do it is the echelon method try doing the other way

whats the other method? Do you have a link to it?

Uhh… is there any other methods for adding custom music to the PS2 MvC2. I’ve been having trouble with the one Combo Masher posted. Some odd reason, my audio files aren’t being 48000 hertz for frequency. Even when I select it.

Thanks ROmfinite I will try this method out thanks again for the quick responses

no problem, glad I can help

Sick shit, solved my problems too.

Thanks.

is anyone coming to devastation in AZ? i think wong and ruin are coming…

=]

you forgot to mention me:sweat::woot:

Hey everyone…New to the forum

I’ve been following the tutorial, however I’ve run into a problem. When I try to run CDRWIN, my burner is not recognized and when I checked the list on their website, my burner isn’t listed as compatible. Is there any solution to this or any other program I can use? I can’t even create an .iso to burn with another program.
