I have one question about attempting to change the music in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike on PS2 (JPN version). I noticed that after the initial adx files for each of the rounds (in both Original and Arrange music modes), that there are a bunch of adx files following them basically breaking the song apart into smaller files.
Does anyone know how these are used? Do I have to edit them along with the full song ADX files, or can I just leave them alone and just inject my own songs into the intial song files?
It works only in chankast :wtf:; when I throw it in the DC, I get the “Insert Game Disc” error. It’s wierd, cause when I’ve burned other games using the same type of CD’s, it seems to be ok. any ideas?
also; the answer to this may be glaringly obvious, but Im trying to transfer music from MvC2 to 3S. The MvC2 music files are .bin files, while the 3S files are .adx. Can I just change the extension from .bin to .adx? thanks once again
looks at the last post Maybe I should give this project a try myself… I changed the music on my PS2 version of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, but never tried it with my DC version… hmm.
I do know that for the PS2 version though, there are ADX files though.
If you are putting the music from marvel into SF3, then all you gotta do is just rename the .bin to .adx. Because the .bin music files in marvel are actually just .adx files, but they are renamed before the game is burned.
Yeah it’s possiblem, team seattle released a video awhile ago showing that you could change around the character pics. I dont remember them or anyone posting what the actual files were that had to be changed. If anyone knows which of the files correspond to character pics please post up.
Can someone re-up the instructions to make a game nsb, I made a custom for someone and can’t get it working for anything. I still have no aspi from XP2, I tried using 3 different auto selfboot kits using my old custom, I think I need to start from scratch. Help?
soo… I did the whole process using your tutorial using the cdi path. Do I halfto worry about the image file and junk when I burn it on nero?(i converted it to an nrg format)
& ty this was hella easy.
just a few notes that should be thrown in
-keep the wave files in the adxencd folder when converting adx files to bin(i moved my wav files to another folder, then converted, and all the adx files dissappeared…)
-the “adx_here” file I had to convert manually into adx format(from wav format). no biggie since all that was given.
there was no links&keys file in the zip I downloaded, so I had to search the internet (inevitably getting popups >.<)…
-It took me a good 10 minutes fooling around w/ the selfboot.exe(which is titled bin2boot in the tutorial) to realize I had to get that little box to open, and then drop the .bin file in(not drop the bin file directly onto the selfboot.exe file)
that is all… take this constructively. I’m fully appreciative of this guide… I think it should go on the wiki…lol. I’ll burn the cd and hopefully it comes out good when I try it this weekend.
Every single time I used cdi2nero with custom or original mvc2 it burned everytime for me without fail! I never got coaster or a failed burn…your burner must suck:lol:
Everyone bow down to Toodles . Finally, a walkthrough on how to burn SSF2X that actually works, the first time. I don’t know what to say. I just want to thank you for posting up this walkthrough. I’ve been trying to burn SSF2X FOREVER and a day with no real success, unless you call getting it to boot up without the controller working and seeing the power meters in the demo fight start to SLOOOOWLY drain away while the characters don’t do anything a success. Thanks again. I finally have a working copy of my very own custom SSF2X :lovin: !
