Thx for the shout out, but I can’t. My mix is incomplete, Slang. I just started it in the middle of December and I am taking my time with it. It’s not a color match, so i am coming up with different colors for 5 buttons (Assist 1 is a DC/Marvel counterpart. I wanted to redo my first mix from day one) for each character, as well as all three Abyss.
I wouldn’t think of putting out an incomplete mix, man. I don’t have the best looking edits, but you better believe each character will be Hollowized!
Got a question if you guys dont mind answering. I bought a DC used yesterday and i tryed to play the srk mix and he disc doesnt spin any reason why that might be? It has the #1 at the bottom so im pretty sue it plays backups.

How is Jan 5th for a deadline? I’m thinking of renaming it from ‘New Years Mix’ to ‘SRK 2009 Mix’. Opinions? Where’s lalo, donut, hollow, icemanual, fugee, scotty2hotty, Mixah, Bay6, DS, smoothassasin, coos, Charlie Goblyn, JonnyQuest with the Final Round edits, Pablo the Mex? I’ve seen a bunch of colors around and posts regarding color mixes used in other tourneys/events, now it’s your time to have it all in one disc!
I tried burning with Discjuggler and i still doesnt work. When the DC stats the disc spins then it stops. Know what it could be? Cause I dont think is the CD.
If there is a 0 or 1 at the bottom of the DC it can read backups from what I remember if there is a 2 it doesnt. Mine has a 1, so im pretty sure it does.
I’m being lazy. I wanted to do more with the mixes, but either I just have time or I’m not in the mood to even open palmod. I gotta fix a few things (though i didn’t touch them, Ken’s moves got colored totally off/trying to make Shuma look…inverted for his level 3 super), but I guess I’ll submit them as is today or tomorrow if anything.
Hi fellas. I’m Jobo. I’m 1 year new to MVC2 and I just found out that you can create custom MVC2 discs for the PS2. I found this thread on zachdms’s webpage while searching for good videos of the game. But, I can’t follow much of what you’re discussing yet because I’ve been unable to connect to any of the old links that are posted within the 150+ pages of this discussion. well, ALMOST. I did get the PalMods links for version 1, 1.1, 1.2 or sumsuch, and the old link for Dreamcast by Suupaboo “Custom MVC2 Home” http://dhost.info/combomasher/index.php which was last updated in 2007 so I have no idea if it’s relevant to PS2 as well.
I just got a new laptop for xmas. It’s running Vista, and has a CD/DVD read-write and lightscribe drive. I think it’s got its own built-in burn program too.
Could someone hook me up with any current, functional how-to links to customize a PS2 MVC2 disc? even a quickie job that lets me use one of the mixes you all have made available (how do I get those?). I’m sorry if you’ve seen this request before, but… well it’s almost 2009 and most of the links I tried to hit seem to be unmaintained still. I’ve got no idea what I’m doing without guidance, LOL.

hold on now… I might have missed something during the last 2 days of scouring this thread. I came back after giving my mind/eyes a good break, and I’ve just discovered a link in that Suupaboo ‘Custom MVC2 Home’ link that talks about PS2. I was too brain-fried and missed it. So… gimme a bit while I read thru it. Maybe it’s the info I’ve been looking for. if it works, then I’ll go back and try to find how to copy one of your ready-made music/color mixes onto my first try. I’ll report back.

So far so good! I’ve begun selecting music. From what I’ve read, the colors will be the most trouble. I’ll re-scour the discussion for how to acquire somebody else’s color mods to save myself some time.
