Yea, it would.
Make the iso using cdrwin, then after you make the iso change the iso to .bin and use the selfboot.exe program to make the image file, then burn it using discjuggler
Adam: Instead of following the steps on the page listed in the first post, the only part you need to follow if you’re using bin2boot is changing the audio/dummy file (to coincide with any increase/decrease in size your audio did or did not add) then use either exoboot (might be easier) or CDRWin to make an ISO image, then use bin2boot to turn that image into a .CDI.
Exoboot will actually automate the process further and eliminate the need to use CDRwin. I believe you still need to have the IP.bin file outside the iso and the 1st_read inside the data folder, but other than that, everything is pretty much done by the tool, and eliminates most of what is done with the exception of the audio conversion on the how to in the first post.
I’d suggest just downloading exoboot, putting your data inside the exoboot directories “data” folder and then just follow exoboot from there. Click data to image, don’t delete dummy, then hit next, click the make image box and leave the built-in burning options unchecked, name the image, click next, it makes the .cdi and burn with alcohol.
EDIT: As someone else posted earlier was well there is a video how to on YT (I think rummer or bay6 reposted it earlier), anyways that link is here:
CDRWIN won’t run with my drive. When I burn with disc juggler, the dreamcasts sees it as an audio cd. I know I’m screwing up somewhere.
what do you mean it wont run on your drive? hit me up on aim if you have aim
Make sure It’s not a Cd-r-dubbaya!
Dreamcasts dont read them as normal cd’s. :shake:

**New Palmod!
**So:
[]BPyro is going to stop working on the project completey after he finishes tweaking the current version. So everything thats in this one is going to be the last stuff he does. He’ll post the sourcecode once he finishes so others can expand on it.
[]He implemented automation for character extras. You can’t see the extras but it fills out the extras like Cyclops’ HK and other stuff. He told me the ones that aren’t done are Shuma-Gorath and he doesn’t remember the other one
[]He sucessfully implemented PNG image exporting! You’ll get to see how awesome it is. It won’t show the image unless you delcare a zoom number.
[]The character listings are alphabetical so it should be easier to find characters. The drop down menus are much larger too.

If the palmod gui doesn’t show up you’ll have to do something to your registry. Not sure if this was fixed in the 10 min he spent fixing stuff quickly. hehe. Anyway:

:amazed::amazed::amazed::amazed::amazed:
Edit* I forgot. The reason I posted this was cause there are a bunch of bugs and he wants people to ride him about completing it so he never has to look at it again. So, I’ll get it started: exporting image is pretty buggy, it’ll cause the program to crash if you switch characters after exporting an image.
GL PPL.
image export doesn’t work for me at all on Vista to either PNG or GIF.
The Zoom initialization thing seems easy to fix with source code. =\
This is a great start to the new rev.
Wow nice. So no more extra pallet editing needed!? I was hoping for Shuma to be thrown into the mix, but fuck it. Thanks to everyone involved.
wow… i love the new palmod… even tho it doesnt love servebot or tronne girl… =]
so here are the colors i ran with for my phantom mix (wp and fp color schemes spawned by icemanual)
keep in mind the white will come out transparent (ghostly) like in the images i posted before…
=]
Thanks to dvdrummer I got it working! Time to hit the lab!
Charlie: Can I get the hex for the ghost tron?
I know this has been discussed before, but I missed it apparently. How do I stop storm from changing colors during j. fp?
Check the Eidrian graph. There are pallettes designated to each color. I just change them to the original edit.
okies…
do this:
in the previous palmod (dunno if it works in the new version…)
for tronne mech:
(#10000AFFFAFFFADDDACCCABBBA777AFFFAFFFAFFFADDDA888AFFFAFFFAFFFABBB)
for tronne girl:
(#10000AEEEADDDACCCAAAAAFFFAFFFAFFFAAAAAFFFAFFFADDDAEEEABBBA999A555)
servebot:
(#10000ACCCABBBA999A777A444AFFFAFFFADDDACBBA999AEFFACCDA99AA667A888)
drill,lk,rock:
(#10000AFFFAFFFAEEEACCCAAAAA888A666AFFFAFFFAFFFAEEEADDDABBBA999A888)
c.fp, dash flame:
(#10000AFFFAFFFAFFFADDDADDDADDDADDDADDDADFFAAFFA6EFA4BFA48FA46FA12F)
just go by eidrians guide when inserting… hit me up on aim if ya have any q’s
Eidrian: I dunno if you got my IM…I finished both of my mixes up. I’m at work until 6EST, I’ll send em over on when I get home.
Yeah, that’s the mix I’m looking for. All of it is good IMO, but I really want to know what tracks he used for the factory and iceboat (scrolling) stages.
Thanks for the help.
You have to fix the extra palettes, use eidrian’s palette guide and im glad you got it to work:woot:
Just use the new PalMod, it fixes it for you. I FUCKING LOVE THIS THING!
Edit: Anyone wanna help me make a list of characters that the new PalMod corrects?
So far i got:
Megaman
Roll
Dhalsim
Colossus
Iceman
Omega Red
Storm
Cyclops
Dr.Doom
**WHY NO PREVIEW FOR TRON!?!?!?!? SJDFLKJDJFLSKDJFd
…**
So, when I change the main edit, it automatically changes the appropriate edits, say, Colossus armor/shine, etc…?
Wait, just tested that theory. Incredible… It works! Makes me wanna start on another mix…
i knew u were gunna have an issue with that
