I have a question. How do i know which extras control storm colors like for LK so i can make her stop changing colors.
I haven’t really touched her, yet. I’ll probably go in and change all of her colors to whatever I’m editing it to. I figure I’d rather have her body not brighten when she does her jumping fierce, than have it change to her original color…
Playing around with storm i finnaly found how to make her stop changing colors. I dont really want to edit no1’s moves since every 1 than will complain about it in tournaments. Do you have any colors for storm? Any crazy looking like your iron man.
I haven’t see/made any great Storm colors. Everything ties into her outfit. The only thing not connected is her skin. I haven’t foud a way to edit her effectively, yet.
No more storm changing colors :woot:. I was about to give up with her. I have a question about other characters like magneto and cable. Does it matters if i put a different color in their LP or do i need to do something extra as well.
Well, the most important thing (to me) is consistency. If you are just talking about the main color (outfit with no extras) then yea. With Cable and Magneto, they are fairly easy. Their extras are clear and don’t seem to look off when you edit them. You have inspired me: When I get home, I’m gonna tackle Storm and do a complete edit on at least one of her colors. If I remember reading right, some of her colors are linked (hail storms are all one color for all palette, and some others, correct?)
You gotta show me how to run the Dreamcast emulator on my PC, also. I’ll hit you up on AIM when I get home.
I did not make non of the colors at im putting here. Just wanted to post the characters in my mix. Thanks “Hollow” and “Donut223” for the help. I was so lost when i first started. Good to see that there are some cool people still out there willing to help out. :tup: :tup:
Man, I spoke with Doc on AIM, and he helped me A LOT. I got a real good understanding of what to do and how to create colors that look right.
As a random side note, the Doom colors which are linked to the inside of his cape also affect lines in his shoulders- they are easier to see when he’s crouching, so it’s best to have the inside of his cape be a darker color like black/dark brown/dark blue etc so they don’t stand out, or so they more or less match the rest of what he’s wearing.
edit: War Machine is fun to edit. His jets seem to be tied to something else, though: I have them blue, but at his boots the flame is still dark orange.

Does anyone has cable’s Hyper Viper Beam Super in blue. Hollow, was the green iron man that you showed yesterday for his super? I wanna see a yellow psylocke & a different storm.
Random, just create them… That Ironman was done. Just needed some tweaking here and there. Everything is green, though. Proton cannon, Unibeam, etc.

I saw a website the otherday(I guess I can’t say because I don’t want to get banned), but they had DC game images, including MvC2.
Legal aspects? They claim they are **protected by **the digital millenium act, specifically the clause that states that obsolete videogames are OK to post on the internet. They defined obsolete as difficult to obtain and no longer commercially available, which I’d have to say MvC2 falls perfectly under. the only place you get get MvC2 is if you go to EBAY, and even there, it’s got a premium price if you can find it. Needless to say, it’s rare.
If this is true (and seeing how the website hasn’t been taken down yet), shouldn’t we be able to openly trade images of our MvC2 mixes that we’ve all made? Can Mr. Wiz comment on this?

Has long has you own the game. You could download the game of the internet. Thats what they consider to be ok or legal. Since i own both original MVC2 for dreamcast and PS2 i could download them if i want. That what those website’s say before doing any downloads.

Quick question, is it possible to replace a background from MvC2, with a background from CvS (Akuma’s stage)?
Actually if you guys ever decide to do something with CvS2, please replace the majority of the backgrounds with the CvS originals.
What would be nice if we could just duplicate a level, change it’s background and music, and then have extra stages to play on.
I also have newbie questions.

First of all, are DCs still made? Can I buy a new one?
Second, will it play my mix? If so then how?
My English comprehension sucks so please explain. I know the old US DC’s can play them with the Utopia boot disc, but I’m not planning on buying someone’s DC from E-bay that’s falling apart.
