Has anyone figured out the way to make your characters color schemes siminlar to that ov Snake’s optic camoflage (invisible with just the outline ov the character being clear). Just wondering…and yes I know something like this is not tourney legal mosdef…
Isn’t that just set the Alpha blend on each individual box you want to hide to 0 or so?
I wouldn’t really know because it just came out by accident…probably so it just caught me off guard…
You could just basically compare both palettes (MAIN vs RED TINT 1) ID by ID and get the values there, like: ID 01: H+5, S+3, L+1 etc. I did it with Cyke for coloring his optic blast reflection and it worked pretty good. Although it might overflow on some values, there should be some kind of restrains to it, or the color would just end being plain and dull. :xeye:
Now i just do it by hand, cuz you know, it’s easier. At least for me. :smokin:
It’s quite a task you know, doing the extras. I though Master Plan Phase 1 was to release a new version of PalMod featuring extras preview but no auto-color features. That would be Phase 2, or perhaps 3 if we feel like beta testing other things.
nobodys figured a way to do this with other ps2 games yet? i had a buddy that had megaman x8 with the og music from mmx on snes. he was runnin it on his pc but said he could burn the iso on disc anytime he wanted and i could play it on my modded ps2

Gah! If only you could change ryu’s headband without changing his gi/robe! And change the shotos’ belts without changing their eyebrows! (seriously, why the crap would those be connected??) Gosh darn Capcom and they lazy asses…

-Morrigan came out a bit better than I expected. Gambit is just too…gray. Unfortunately the hair is tied to the chestplate… I messed around with the card color etc a little bit.

-With both of these I originally was wanting to meld into a certain color, like from blue to red or red to purple or something like that. I decided to have colors sorta interrupt each other (only a little bit here), and I think it looks pretty good. I dig it, at least. The fireball in particular.

I think that’s the one, at least…I was messing around with some of the colors to see which tags went where.

Extra code is almost done… I have to manually check each extra that copies palette indexes that are greater than the source (Cyclops’ HK for ex).
Tint is done by RGB differences (Gief, Cammy and Cyclops).
Other than that, it’s all about putting that information in. :crybaby:

Anyway, improved orange fireball for Ryu, this one is prettier and less weird. Went with a straight color progression (yellow to red with mostly orange) instead of trying to highlight certain parts, which makes it look weird in motion.
