I love Fairy as a typing and I think it did help the subsequent metagames that followed from being oversaturated with dragon and fighting spam, but I agree that it’s resistance to Bug was totally unwarranted. Bug type already had common resists and the pure typing by itself was always struggling, so it made no sense to give it another obstacle.

In Metagame news, UU has banned Kommoium-Z and, once again, re-re-rebanned Scoliopede. Little Cup has banned Aipom due to its new egg move (Tail Slap).
Kommo O getting banned up to BL so fast it isn’t funny. Its crazy what a Z crystal did to buff 1 Mon. It didn’t break him but it made him respectable as fuck. Why they can’t do this for other mons and types that need buffing (looks at use ICE Type).
kommo-o Z is now in the same boat as staraptor, everything that beats it is in OU
Good riddance to Scolipede again. That thing should have never been unbanned from BL, especially since Speed Boost is such a stupid fucking ability.
Weirdly, Azumarill and maybe even Serperior might be balanced enough to stay in UU this time around, though I doubt it, at least in the case of the latter.
No. Kommo-O itself is still usable in UU and RU (for now). It’s only its Z-Stone that got banned, like what happened with Mew before OU stole him.

This was ages ago but I think the set was Seismic Toss/Torment/Protect/Thunder Wave.
I’m guessing I assumed he had Lum Berry and didn’t want to waste a turn using T-Wave when I could’ve just Seismic Tossed to put him in range of Bulletpunch.

Yeah I took a chance on staying in and this was when Double Dragon was a menace. I felt like at that point I had nothing to lose.

My favorite use of Torment was shitting on Choice users… I also ran a hilarious Trick/Baton Pass Scarf Celebi in tandem with another Mon with Torment to troll the shit out of things.
Yeah in Gen 4 choice users were everywhere and that set was perfect for annoying them as Torment/T-Wave crippled them and forced switches, it was especially nice with hazards up . Hypno was also surprisingly bulky- for that era at least.

Yeah, Torment is a one of the most fun moves in the game, and even as much as someone of might find Heatran rather tiresome, Torment Heatran is quite fun to use. Not sure if it’s anywhere as useful in Gen 7 OU though as it used to be even as recently as Gen 6.
Shame that nothing I actually want to use got it in post-Ultra though.
