I had no idea what typing it was when I fought it. I assumed Steel Psychic. I was getting destroyed by that thing in game. That explains why it was so strong
Also is it me or does the A.I seem to be better at battling when you fight the stronger trainers? I see more of them using better moves and items compared to scrubs. Not saying that it is more difficult but I don’t remember ordinary ELITE trainers using items and stuff. That seems like it used to be E4 and Gym leader exclusive. Now every trainer at a certain point you have to watch for full restores and stuff.
It feels more like the Totem Pokemon are smarter than the Kahunas. I don’t remember using more than 5 HP restoring items until the Elite 4 in SuMo, now I’m forced to use a couple in some major battles.
Also at the Battle Tree and tried to get Kommo to learn gunk shot and ir wouldn’t let me. I guess Pokeaim was wrong about it getting it. In which case this is interesting. Gets an attsck move that boost everything. Does he need DD at this point?
It still annoys me that they didn’t give it Calm Mind or Aura Sphere, especially since I still view its tail as inspired by a monk’s shakujo. Oh well.
Speaking of it and stat-raising moves, though, now that I think about it, I have to wonder if Clangorous Soulblaze was always going to exist or if it got made in response to that Shell Smash mistake in Battle Tree–those aren’t mutually exclusive I suppose.
