Take advantage of the fact that Showdown isn’t programmed worth a shit and Taunt Eevee before it Z-moves. (You can do this with a fast taunter like Mimikyu on Shitdown, but not on the actual game, so abuse this while you can)
You can outplay that shit without dedicating your team to stopping it, but it requires thought and solid play… Some things Smogon is in dire lack of.

Dammit, all of that, and I didn’t even post about what I came here for-- Parasect. This VGC season is its one chance to stand out, and people are forgetting all about it.
With all the Trick Room/Terrains/and Rain flying about, our old Gen 1 bro has an odd niche it can fulfill as one of the few mons capable of redirection in this meta thanks to Rage Powder. Plus it outspeeds practically everything in Trick Room, as well as possessing Wide Guard/STAB Leech Life. Spore is not as useful as it once was due to Tapu Koko and Bulu riding roughshod, but neither can do shit but die to a Cross Poison without carrying niche moves at best Brave Bird/Megahorn respectively. Oranguru doesn’t want to see this dude coming either.
It does have a fair few weakpoints due to its plodding Speed and Grass/Bug typing doing it no favors defensively outside of pissing off Garchomp(who is EQ-ing less and less these days), and making Tapu Fini its bitch. It does get served hard by team glue choices Marowak and Muk, but any competent VGC team should have plans in place for those two.
No, it’s not a meta-defining mon like Pory 2 or the Tapus/UBs, but it can cause some chaos here and there and can be surprisingly hard to deal with in Rain/Grassy Terrain/Trick Room.

Nobody should be losing to this shit this often-- It’s a team dependent on an NFE Eevee that can’t do shit after its used its Z-Move, a Follow Me troll that usually can’t do shit else, and two actually decent mons. Put your hubris away, stop underestimating your enemy, and stop giving free wins to, and crying about a gimmick that won’t be around in six months, because no one smart will be losing to it any more.
The fact that Smogon scrubs are losing to this comedy should be all you need to know about just how shit that place is at Pokemon.

The bigger problem is you have to have your checks out against it or you lose. This isnt just a “switch and force” kind of thing. This is a “i got a free turn and i won” kind of thing. There are ways to stop it but almost all of them are “beat it before it does It’s thing” and that’s not a reliable strat. This isnt like a sac amd revenge kill or just keep it away.
Also this is smog doubles, not vgc. Vgc having 4 mons probably makes it easier to deal with and also tapus are much better in a 4v4 format than 6v6

IIRC the beef against Smogen never was against people using what’s good in the meta but rather that they like to force the meta to be a certain way.
