AHH EXCITING! Hey Okinawa SRK, i’m moving to okinawa in just a few days and was hoping for a scene there for SSF4 (or sf4 if that’s not available… or arcade if it exists!) How is the street fighter 4 scene there and where should I head to first? I’ve been playing in the Reno, Nevada scene and my last real tournament was at Evo 2010!
Just curious, what nationality is everyone/where/why Okinawa? I’m here for school but would still love to play.
Hey Bro, I got here about a month ago from Delaware. It’s pretty chill here as far as the scene goes. It’s only a few of us right now but we play every chance we get especially on weekends. I’m off every night and weekends but some aren’t but they are usually down for games. Me, Jizzon, and M00b(Jessy) all play SF(Vanilla) and SSF4. I just got back from the arcade as a matter of fact lolz. What part of Okinawa are you moving to that way I/we can tell you which arcade you will be closer to and how close you are to us as well. It’s nice to know your going to be part of the scene. Welcome to Okinawa, have a safe trip here.
I’m staying at the Uni. of the Ryukyus. I’ve walked around but have only found countless convenience stores. I’m down to walk to the nearest arcade, I need to do more exploring in the area anyways =)
I honestly don’t know where that University is? Is it near Naha? Or by any military base? Do you have a phone number where we can call ya?
i’m still really new to the area but according to my itouch i’m in the southern part of the middle of okinawa, 2.8km away from the McDonalds by Okinawa Hospital, and about the same distance away from Nishihara Town. I went to Nishihara Town Office to do my Alien Registration today. Talking to some of the guys here they said the new “Round 1” is a bit far but pretty popular. They are also international students as well so I’m sure there’s others they haven’t heard/seen. Pretty close to Naha, there’s a bus here that takes me to Naha shopping center/around the airport area I believe. ya… i still haven’t even gotten to explore the school yet.
I’ll probably have free time after school starts (oct 6) cuz all my paperwork n stuff should be done by then. Let me know where and when you guys meet up. I’ll look it up on the map and learn to get there. I’d definitely love to meet/compete with the scene here! Thx for being so welcoming!

That’s the other Jesse that left right before you got here… how’s it going man? Living it up in Cali taking names at MGL? I think I’ve pretty much given up playing vanilla 4 and been playing more HSF2. Maybe I’ll be at Travis in a year and we can get some games in.

Yesterday though I went to Eagle 2 and they had some crazy good 3s and sf and tekken players there. I was playing 3s a lot, crazy ass Q player there with some others too. They kept playing me which was awesome, I had to step my game up which I think I did. I was beating this really good Ken playing who Kara every DP, shit was nuts. That Q player was hard as hell, he never missed a combo, it was pretty scary lolz.

Hey guys, finally settled in here =) Today was the first time I’ve been to road 58/Chatan. Checked out the sega arcade and got to play some Street Fighter finally! Some pretty good players started to show up when I came back in the evening =D
I’m located about a 15-20 minute drive from there. I’m staying near the University of the Ryukyus. My friend rides his bike to Chatan so i’m currently looking for one too. Pretty much a straight path. Any good places to find decent second-hand bikes for around 5,000 yen?
