Community: The Thread

So it wasn’t as great or in stride with Harmunity, but it was more focused and sure of itself this week than last. It’ll never be the same, but if they get more confident in writing their own show, I think these writer can produce something I’ll be mildly entertained by. However, the thought of how Community used to be will always haunt me.

I thought the Halloween episode was ok. Definitely wasn’t better than older episodes. I liked tonight’s episode the most out of the new episodes shown so far.

The humor was already becoming derivative by the end of last season imo, but fans didn’t wanted to admit it. A sudden drop in quality, even if A to B-, is a bad sign for all shows.

Most def, Harmon kind of self imploded.

Oh well, it’s not like the first three seasons super funny moments will be erased if the new season is garbage.
Everything is still feeling like it’s just being forced. Nothing feels natural. Also tonight’s entire night (and perhaps week) of television was completely eclipsed by a perfect Parks episode. So perfect, I’m mentioning it in the wrong thread.
im gettin used to the new vision of the show…no over-reaching arc yet.
Allison brie is the best thing about the show. Not really used to the troy and britta relationship yet. Kelly and dylan made me nostalgic.

Well ep 2 kind of redeemed itself for ep 1… we’ll see how much further it can go from here. They need to establish that history class because their intro classes from all 3 seasons have brought the humour in for me each time. I’m honestly surprised and unsure why they’d focused so much time and effort making a halloween off a valentine’s day… but regardless, they just need to get that history class in soon. Being 13 episodes, they’ve got twice as less time to do the things they normally do.
This season was supposed to start on October 19th, so the halloween episode would have happened around the actual date. Say thanks to NBC.
troy and britta fucking but they don’t even show them kissing. that’s racist!

watching dr.spacetime ep. was almost like watching big bang theory.
Tonight’s episode was horrible. That is all.
Yeah the episode was pretty bad. I kept watching hoping it would get better but it never did.
This week’s episode was streets ahead last week’s. I liked it.

This episode proves why Britta and Troy feels so forced. Jeff and Britta (whether romantic or platonic) just work better as a pairing for comedy. The episode was still not amazing, but much better than last weeks, and probably second to the Halloween episode for season 4 eps. I think I’ve gotten over my dismay about Harmon. Is this the same show? Not really, but honestly, at least I like these characters and it’s still got good people on the writing staff. Still better than BBT.

Hated the puppet episode. Now, it should be known that I am A.) Bitter about Dan Harmon and that paints a lot of my opinions and B.) I fucking hate human looking puppets. I can take the Muppets, they are animals and I’m cool with animal puppets, but human looking puppets freak me the fuck out. Also, it just felt like it was trying too hard to be Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas.

i dont really get britta and troy. plus they never do anything together but have a weird scene of them in bed generally.

I didn’t like the puppets because it took away screen time from allison brie’s breasts. I love sara bareilles though.

The only thing that killed it was the berries part. I liked the songs [I guess I’m a sucker for Muppets-esque sing-alongs]. Although I wanted everyone else to dish juicer secrets from the rest of the group. Shirley’s was kinda a doozy compared to the rest.
