With this announcement the competition between games to get into EVO is going to be insane.

This could be real cool. I’m glad it’s not a ‘vs’ game (not my style). Only disappointment is that it’s not Capcom x Namco, because I want some Weaponlord action -Korr, Bane, and Zarak are bad ass.

That footage looked sick!!! I am officially stoked for this game. Also hyped for the Namco version. I have enjoyed both game-series from the beginning,and like them for different reasons. I guess it’s a good time to be a fighting game fan.
I don’t know if that demo was for show( I mean, Kazuya’s stance looked like Sagat at that intro)and it was rushed, considering it was still based off the SFIV engine…or that shit is true to form, and we’ll get a more sped-up SFIV engine type game.
If it’s true…maybe end of the year release/beginning 2011 release.
If it was just made up for CC…then maybe winter 2011 release/beginning 2012. I just don’t see Capcom wanting to butt heads against MvC3.
…And for the record, I would hold up my dollar bill for a Darkstalkers release too.
That trailer scene looked very familiar to that Ryu/Sagat rival scene in SF4…or was it just me?
Leave out HDR, TvC and SF x Tekkens for now. The SFxTekkens won’t be out until after the next EVO at the least, and TvC and HDR will probably be screwed by the lineup. Still leaves 6 games for 5 slots. SSF4 and MVC3 will be Evo’s money makers so they’re safe. That leaves KOF13, BB:CS, MK9 and Tekken 6. Tough competition. Tekken 6 is proven, as I believe BB:CS is. So it basically comes down to how good KOF13 and MK9 are.
I agree with this, the gameplay might be awesome…But I’d rather use new chars or chars I care for…If the gameplay is awesome then I’m still not really gonna want to use or fight against Tekken chars =/

What happened to people who loved fighting games?
I didn’t know people were only allowed to like one type of fighting game.
I think most peoples issue with this game is that the dirty, dirty Tekken characters have the gall to think they have the right to be in the same game as the all-holy Street Fighter characters.
Hence why I brought up the point to where you might like them both…but there are a lot more people who only like either SF or Tekken then there are who like them both. Even then, are the ones who like both going to be willing to burn $120 on them both? Now, if they’re released in the same package, obviously, my point will be invalid, and I’ll let it go. If they aren’t, it raises a problem.
Wow, all the people crying over a game just announced, seriously, that’s pretty hardcore.
Give it some time, I personally think it looks awesome (and sounds awesome) and I will most likely buy both of them. To those who are already saying they hope it fails and that no one wanted this, get real, you couldn’t be further from the truth.
People will buy this, it will be good, and on top if that it will hopefully bring both communities closer together.
I for one support this, both namco and capcom’s version.
SRK sinks to a new whining low today…that trailer looked fucking amazing and we still have people coming here and whining about it, hot damn. If that trailer is indicative of what the gameplay is gonna be like I’m onboard day one.

I can’t wait for both games. I’ve never bothered to learn how to play tekken, but in preparations to Tekken x Street Fighter, i might try and learn.

Hey guys, did you know that Capcom did a move like this back in 2000. It was with SNK and both companies produced two types of games. One being Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2, and the third one being SvC Chaos. Who would have thought that SNK characters in a Street Fighter style game mixed with KoF elements would have actually WORKED. Crazy shit I know. People also gasp played Capcom vs SNK 1 & 2 (SvC…not so much)
Lol at all the haters hoping this game will fail before there isn’t a single screen shot. I’d rather play a new game with modified SFIV engine rather than seeing work put into SFIV that just included horrible characters like Q and Remy.
The game(s) come out in 2012,MVC3 is the only new fighter coming out in 2011.Online 3rd strike is probably gonna be an XBLA/PSN game and the new characters for SSFIV dont exactly count.
