Not gonna hate on SF x Tekken or Tekken x SF, am however going to hate on Ono.
All this riddle shit, “hype-building” has got to stop, it was fun for guessing which chars would make it into Super, but it is starting to get old, very, very fast.
It stops becoming good marketing when it becomes stagnant, and it will eventually start having the opposite effect on a consumer.
Regardless of when we find out what chars are coming to Super, we will still be happy to play them. You aren’t attracting new customers by waiting to tell us who they are, only pissing off returning customers.
In short Ono, either say nothing or say it all. This isn’t hype you’re building, it’s frustration.
I tink it’s still early to say how SF X Tekken going to play. This first trailer, and gameplay video are still subject to lots of change and there will be changes. For those people that say that the intro video of Kazuya looked like Sagat, these will not be in the final version, I’m pretty sure of that, since the game is at least a year away from release, and might have several delays before coming out anyway.
To say people are not interested in this game is ignorant as they are already talking about it a lot, both on here and on Eventhubs. Some will be interested in the Capcom version, others will go for the Namco version and some will go for both versions of the game. What’s wrong with that?
Personally, I am more stoked for this game then for MvC3, however, I’m sure they’ll all end up in my collection anyway. What can I say, I just love fighting games.
Theres a lot of fighting games coming out. Seems like a bit too much. But than again I don’t really know the time span of the releases. But honestly, it just seems like a lucrative amount of content. I’m kind of looking forward to picking up Sf III since I’ve never played it. New characters and costumes will be great too. As for the crossovers. Does it really have to be two versions? I just don’t think it’s smart to release two games that are probably going to look the same but with different mechanics.
Ok, so Kazuya at least has the ability to dash through fireballs, his attacks look like chains and the ‘Supers’ look like they are cancellable out of those chains.
SF x Tekken! I can’t wait to see how each company reimagines the other’s characters. That’s gonna be fun! I’ll probably buy them both if they don’t suck, and I doubt they will.
What I really want is Street Fighter 5 on xbox/ps 4 with brand new models, awesome animation and particle effects and context-aware dynamic taunts.
I am not joking.
I really want it.
With Makoto it would be perfect: ryu throws a fireball - makoto sidesteps - makoto uses hayate - FADC - Karakusa - Super - Ultra.
The perfection.
