I’ll give it a chance, but I hope it fails. It’s a waste of time and talent that could’ve been spent on other, more lucrative projects for BOTH companies.
Naw, that’s what a good PR man does to hype shit up, give you just enough information to try and get you interested without letting you know all the details yet, and suddenly you’re hyping up for Comic-con then TGS…
The real trick is seeing what the character announcements are and how that carries over. I mean, they could easily wreck all of the hype they’re trying to build if the announce someone stupid like hugo or rolento.
Can the community really support SSFIV, MvC3, 3S and couple of SF vs Tekkens!?? Not to mention with competition from BB and KoF. Spreading it a bit thin I reckon.
Third Strike Online… GOOD SHIT.
It’s a same there’s no Karate Clown until September though.
Capcom’s best fighting game series: Street Fighter
Namco’s best fighting game series: Tekken
Put them together: Whining fans.
How very interesting.
I don’t think capcom or namco are sweating either of these titles, rightfully so honestly. Not saying they’re bad games but who outside dyed in the wool fighting game fanatics has even heard of blazblue.
What the fuck?! Why?! Why are they doing this?! No one ever asked for this?!
I’m sure people will give it a chance. I’ll be too busy playing Marvel 3 though.
I can’t wait for the side step hurricane kicks, 7 feet wide hadokens, and Dhalsim being fucked by side steps.
I guess the Tekken version will be played by tekken fans and the street Fighter version will be played by SF fans.

The footage looks solid. I’m a fan of both games but I was a fan of Tekken first, so I might be the only one excited about this :\
Why do you hope it fails? What exactly do we gain by having the thing fail?
I am a SF fan, but I would gladly play the tekken version, if it’s SF with sidestep and tekken’s amazing graphic.
Hot damn…SF X Tekken…two games I grew up on. I dont know if I will either both with Namco’s version after seeing capcom’s version of the cross over. My two mains will be Jin and Vega…GET HYPE!
Don’t even joke about that.
Hey the game honestly seems awesome. I hate the art style but the game itself looks fun as hell.
We gain the fact that capcom won’t waste their time producing games that nobody wants to play, and instead makes something we do. I hate tekken, the last thing I want is them mucking up my Street Fighter games…
actually, I take that back, MK vs SF would be worse
that was freakkinggggggggg sick!!! looks like ryu’s fireball gonna have some wall bounce properties and kazuya has was around fireballs.
I hope it fails only because it’s kind of dumb. I’ll admit, the footage looked good. But, there’s problems.
One, both companies will make their own version of the game. SF fans will only buy Capcom’s, and Tekken fans will only buy Namco’s (unless you like both and have $120 saved up, or they release them together in the same package, we don’t know the specifics, so I’ll hold off on that front). It brings up this point.
If you’re just going to make a SF version of the game that only SF fans will buy, and vice versa, wouldn’t that time be better spent making a new SF or a new Tekken rather than this? This is what I’m getting out of it at the moment. Again, I’ll hold off on their marketing and distribution strategy to truly see where they’re going with this but as of now, it doesn’t seem that smart.
looks at Capcom’s and Namco’s ridiculous DLC history
Trust me, they know what they are doing.
