Good shit to everyone. Played alot of good games and had alot of fun. Paladin90 u should REALLY TRY TO MAKE THIS A MONTHLY THING. If u need any help with it let me know and ill help u. It was a WHOLE LOT of fun. and i want to do it agian

Evrything was real fun. I figured out alot of things to do with ganryu. (alot of them too late after i lost in the tourny) but it was fun. Ganryu will be bigger, better, fatter and sloppier than ever next tourny.

Hey, big thanks for everyone coming out. We had a lot of Capcom people come out of the woodwork who were pretty damn good. Also Paladin for getting the venue & managing money, Sazabi for running Tekken and all that.

Chickenfat – good stuff in Grand Finals! I can tell you did learn a ton at this MWC. Congrats to you (and Ed!) with Q! More people need to fear the claw. Come out to more majors, there’s a another great Q from Alabama (RPD Rookie) going to be there.

Sazabi – QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ!! Awesome man. You better start playing 3s more.

Nevermind & Richard – your Marvel is really really impressive for being all isolated down there! Come up to Columbus and play us more, you guys are solid. Chris Rose is close to you guys down there too, he’s always up for Marvel.

VDO & Terrel – thanks for making the drive guys and the Marvel matches. Purple Ken and the Dan rolls :stuck_out_tongue: Crazyyy

Popoblo – Q??? Thanks for making the trip too man. Hope we can make the next KY tourney.

Skisonic – always training me up in Marvel, even in the middle of my sorry matches – I really appreciate it man. Gonna try and start making things happen in this game.

Fugee – always mah dude. I was pretty fucked w/o you helping w/ the bracket ugliness that popped up. Thanks for always being the heart of the OH scene and a big force in Marvel in general.

Derek Legend – good to see you again man. Now it’s your turn to seek REVENGE on Cable! Hope you can make some majors this season.

That place was a fucking mess though – me, Tim and the Cle guys were the last to leave so we had to clean up. No good.

Frank – WTF dude, you yelled at a dude for having (sort of) car trouble and then you didn’t show?? C’mon man.

Also, no tourney got more than 20 people, this is really not worth doing every month. Every couple months would be good maybe though.

obviously you didnt read my posts. and wtf. VDO tells you at 1am he’s showing? ooook…i asked if anyone was going, and noone answered. i also was waiting for certified mail that i HAD to sign for, shit didnt come until 2:30pm. So what was the point?

Well asking “Who’s really coming to this?” the day before is a waste of time – obviously everyone who posted/pre-registered and did not cancel was planning on coming.

Just saying, in the future give people a break if at the last sec they can’t make it – you had pretty specific demands on Christian and didn’t show for that match, and I know you could have done your MMs w/ all these other people. I knew you had to wait for your thing, but you could have made CvS easy and people were around were playing ST and CvS2 all day/night.

Good games everyone. Even if I lost pretty hard in 5.0, I enjoyed the DR casuals. I don’t remember some of you guys names (can you mention whoever I played?), but great job Sluch, Sazabi, Ecks, Arkayne, Chamberjin, Nigerian Nightmare, and Hai. I KNOW I missed some names, but great job to you guys.

ghaleon, there were only 8 for cvs2, i got first, rusy got 2nd, and julian got 3rd. rusty, you’re very solid and your execution is good, but try to think about what’s going on during the match more. and trust me, bison’s 1 hit scissor kicks are not safe. try to play more footsies with your characters too because some of your patterns got a little repetitive. but i was very impressed, keep at it!

great to see everyone again. having 3 hours of sleep the night before made me hella sleepy/grumpy all day. chris (ghaleon), skisonic, VDO, julian, terrell, rusty, jason, JOSH FUCKING QUEEN, fugi, etc, good games and thanks for coming out. HUGE props to michigan for coming in big and making a cvs2 tourney possible.

i need to stop playing theory fighter in cvs2 so much and think that N-groove can be competitive without playing people all the time to tweak it. i’m an A-groover, i need to stick to that.

this is how rusty i am in 3S- i lost to two different Q’s while playing chun and ken. let that set in. wow.

overall, that tournament venue was perfect, and columbus is a great location because people as far south as me can come up in 3 hours, MI can come in 3 or 4 hours, and all of OH can show up big. having those 2 rooms worked out really well. thanks to ghaleon, jon, and fugi for running the tourney and getting that location. jon, you said something about another tourney in april, that’s cool, having these things every 2 months or so would be really solid and keep the scene alive.

i wanted to get some money matches in cvs2, but i had to get home because i was so tired. juan, we’ll definitely get our money match in at the next tourney i see you at (does that sound familiar? lol)

frank, maybe next time? and no chris rose at an ohio tournament just didn’t seem right. but people have other shit going on, so it’s all good.

I loved every minute of this tourney! All the ppl i met were really awesome,a heck of alot of competition there as well.I didnt expect that many ppl to come for 3s!lol!Great games to everyone i played and all the ppl who entered any other game and i still got to talk to you guys!Im glad to see columbus has a good fighting game scene.Not to mention this was like my third tourney ever,so im kinda still new to it all.lol.Thanks alot ghaleon for explaining some things to me,and allowing me the privalage to take on thatr ryu!lol!heard alot abvout you,and you showed me why.DEFINETLEY need to play with you guys more.It would be fun.RPD ROOKIE!!you know him!i have to play him.Heard alot about him too.but before this post gets any longer,alot of love to everyone(ecspecially those dayton guys!lol)hope to see you all later,bye!

I was happy to see the ken and chun’ weeded out , Low tier goodness. But other than that great stuff. I know I said this plenty of times… geez… Ive never sene so amny oro’s and q’s played in one tournament.

basically the USPS owned me and my wife. I couldnt have gotten there til about 4:00 at the absolute earliest, and from your other post, you said it would ‘be a random ohio tourney over by 6:30’ i would have just gone to freaking bowl. and ski never replied for the MM. soooo…my car didnt break down, i didnt need a ride, i got owned by USPS. lol. dumb excuse, but i needed to sign some legal documents that were supposed to be at my house on fri. so, theres always next time!

I also posted like 3 posts down about money matches in other games, so I’m pretty sure it was clear that I was coming and all. Its not like our money match was tentative. Even before I edited my post, it was affirmative. nice try tho, double up on your excuses.

you people really dont get it? I said it was a stupid excuse for the USPS owning me. But I needed to get it signed. Oh fucking well. You didn’t reply to my race to 7 2nd post. I dont give 2 fucking shits if you went or not, you have missed your fair share of tournaments for lame ass excuses (no money, no car, no ride, etc.) this was a legal issue I had to take care of. If I would have known that VDO was going as well (before 1am sat morning) I probably would have made more of an effort to at least show up. But, as I said, I’m not showing up to some tournament if the TOURNAMENT is already basically over. Plus no ST. I don’t back out of shit dude. You don’t know me like that. Others would vouch. Like I said, there’s always next time.

Just a quick thanks to everyone for coming, real big thanks to those who came out of state, hope it was worth it for you guys. Big thanks to those that helped out, you guys made it run smooth and I hope you’ll be there for the next one.

If everyone had a good time at this one, Im more than willing to have another one, just gonna have to wait till April for it. I would also be willing to have this semi-monthly, just not during the months of the majors or other big local tourneys, but thats something to be decided later. Thanks again guys, it was fun and a learning experience. I’ll try to make it alittle better next and I’ll try to bring a better A game for some comp against you guys.

Sounds like this tournament really hit it off. I’m glad. Sorry for Indiana not making it, but for me at least it was a money issue. February has not been a very good month to me in that regard. If you do have another one, I’ll try very hard to make it out to it.
