Yeah, we appreciate you trying to keep OH-IN in contact Dave :slight_smile: I miss hanging out w/ you guys. Seems like it’s hard to get those guys traveling. I definitely missed Urien in this tourney, hope you can come out next time.

John, there’s a major every month except July, so as long as we can schedule a C-bus one like two weeks away from them it should be good. April would be perfect because Texas Showdown doesn’t affect the Midwest much, and this year’s has really dumb rules anyway.

Edit: Whoever was taking 3s vids, remember to post here if you put them on YouTube or something. I wish I could have seen more of Ed and Chickenfat’s Q’s especially. I wish I had Moses vs. Ski on tape too, but I don’t think that got filmed. Next time I’ll prob bring my VCR out, cos I don’t have a digicam. If Josie comes he’ll camcorder all that stuff though.

No problem Chris, I’ll get on setting a date for April then, and I’ll try to make it a sperate week from Texas Showdown, just incase someone wants to go to that one. I’ll try to post up ASAP when I get the place reserved again and the details locked down, so everyone keep an eye out and thanks again everyone.

ghaleon, are you going to FRX? If so, how are you going? Flying? Who are you going with? I’m highly interested in going since alot of OGs will be there, i.e. Cole, Buktooth, NKI, etc.

There are 2 slight problems in that…

1.) I couldn’t get a whole lot of 3S footage because I didn’t have a second person that could cover me for the second screen.

2.) Whatever I did record, I left the tape in the venue room. :sad:

…the most I have on my tape are DR casuals. Did anyone else cover any other games? I know T5.0 was taped, but that’s about it.

Axiom: 1st & foremost, good shit on winning the tourney. You’re an awesome player & you proved just how good you are by winning the tourney. That Law & Eddy of urs are monstrous! Keep up the good work bro. Thanks for the advice w/ Law as well. I’ll ask you a few more questions about him when I get the chance too. Plus, I’m gonna get heavily geared towards Asuka again. Nash: Excellent job on whooping ass in the tournament the way you did & getting 2nd. You’re a well-expierenced Tekken player, & it definately showed thru on Saturday. It sucks I couldn’t get any matches in against you AGAIN! It’s all good. Next time around, I’ll make it a point 2 do so & learn some new things from going up against you. That Marduk, Steve, Jin, & Kazuya I saw you use are beastly. Good shit bro.

Moses: Excellent job on trouncing my ass w/ Baek. I don’t know Baek 2 well, & it definately showed thru w/ our matches. Good job on placing in 3rd. That Baek is the heat. Keep up the good work w/ him bro, that was good shit on ur part.

Sazabi: Thanks for the ass-beatings that you gave me. A couple matches were good, & others…yeah, not so good on my part. Nevertheless, good shit in all ur matches. Ur definately one of the most well-rounded Tekken players I’ve ever went up against. Good shit w/ Devil Jin on crouch-dashing w/ hell sweeps, buffering in d/f1,2 & WS1,2, plus pulling off ewgf’s like they were nothing. Good shit Ed! Thanks for the matches. I learned a lot. Now I know what 2 expect, I’ll be more prepared next time around. Mad props 2ya bro.

Spearl: Danny, good shit there w/ that fat bastard (Ganryu). You immensly improved from last time, & it showed from all the times you beat my ass w/ Ganryu. Fuckin d/f2&3, WS4, u/f3&4, sit-down 2 was destroying my shit. That was fucking great. I went home & practiced some Ganny just b/c of the goodness u were displaying w/ him. Excellent shit Daniel. Good MM as well bro. Watch for those 10-strings bro, & I’ll take you on in another MM next time around when we meet. Keep on practicing, b/c I sure will, & I’ll be better than b4. :china:

Derrick: Nicely done on how you did in the tourney bro. Mad props 2ya bro. I was liking the Julia & Nina skills u were busting out (that I’m all 2 familiar w/ by now). WUT: Awesome fucking matches we had bro. That was good shit & ur a damn good player. Never seen Anna busted out like that b4. That was excellent. I’m still salty about that last second 1&3 throw u pulled off to advance. I wasn’t expecting it @ all, but rather, a quick mid of some sort. Good shit man, & good job on advancing. Rey: We had some really good matches there. Ur Law was really fucking good, & u constantly had me on my toes the whole entire time. Dayton Crew: Micah, Kameron, & Quentin, u guys are some damn good Tekken players & cool as hell 2 hang w/. I was liking the skills u were busing out. Micah w/ ur Xiayou & Ganny, Kameron w/ ur Xiayou & Steve, & Quentin w/ ur Anna. Mad props guys on how u played them. We definately need 2 play again sometime here soon. Ghaleon, I seriously honestly forgot about the MM. You were very impressive in the tourney though, far ahead of what I remember. Too good…we’ll bump into each other again at some point in the near future, for sure.

I think I’m going to just seriously practice Guilty Gear now. Finally found a character that feels “right” to me, and need to get ready for Accent Core because that is going to be OFF THA HOOK.

Hopefully this becomes a regular event!

Sorry for not posting up sooner, the last few days have been a blur it seems. Anywho…

For my first tournament I had a great time, got my ass beat, beat some ass in return, and met a lot of cool people.

Ghaleon - Nice to meet you man. Your Cable is so god damn slippery. If you practice up your Sent you’ll have a nasty team on your hands (<3 Cammy). I’ll look forward to playing you next time, and hopefully have some Magneto tricks for you (instead of just getting kicked in the face into AHVB) lol.

Justin - I hope Blackheart didn’t drive you too insane. Was cool to meet you and I hope you were able to pick up that shirt at Wal-mart. :lol:

Legend - Hopefully you got to sleep some on Sunday, because you were walking around like a zombie all day Saturday. Oh, and get another DC pad dude, haha. Nice to meet ya.

I already posted props for the Tekken tournament on TZ. I just thought I’d drop by and say thanks to the guys who kicked my ass at 3rd Strike. The beat downs I got in that game helped calm my nerves so I could buckle down on Tekken.

I have this weird thing, I play a game I suck at during tournaments and it calms my nerves for whatever my main focus is. At seasons beatings, it was Smash, at this one, it was 3rd Strike. Although, I’d like to session with some 3rd Strike and GG crews to get more solid at them.

Ghaleon, good shit on running the tourney and winning. I still play Didder too, haha. I was actually in Cleveland for Pirin’s tourney a couple weeks ago. I didn’t compete, got there too late, but it was good times hanging with everyone.

Ed (DICKENS CIDER!?) solid gamer man. Good stuff in Tekken AND 3rd Strike. Q is a beast eh? :lol:

The problem here is, like I said, you’re just doubling up on your excuses. Maybe you didn’t see my edited post, but if you didn’t see my edited post, then surely you saw another post of mine in the thread. Why didn’t you say something then? You also said I didn’t come because I didn’t know people were going to come, “I posted asking if anyone was still coming”. Ok that is definately the most assesnine thing I’ve heard in a while, you really think everybody is going to chime in “YEA DOOD IM COMING”. As a matter of fact people did respond and say they were coming. Of course people were coming, there was tons of talk about money matches in the thread, which you yourself had even made. Then you said oh and no ST.
Now the reason you didn’t come, I understand completely that the reason that you didn’t come is because of certified mail coming late and whatever. That’s fine. Go ahead and say that, but don’t try to (in a roundabout manner) put that shit on me cuz you missed my reply, and VDO for not replying early enough, or Ghaleon for whatever. Don’t patronize me by talkin about how I dont know you and this and that you dont go back on your this and that. That shit is completely secondary and you are just trying take attention away from the fact that you did not show up. Plain and simple.

Not to mention, you said I “didnt show up” for our last bet. Sure. I took the hit and said “it was either my car or I was home”, because there was a period when my car was broken a few weeks back. You took the opportunity to jump on that, when in fact, it seems you were referring to the columbus tournament that justin wong came to? Lol I posted in November and said my exams were that monday but I was coming. But… my exams were that monday, I couldn’t come. Its not like we made plans or anything. Lets just make that clear. LOL, I am not shying away from knowing that the reason(s) I had for not showing were gay and dumb. I have already admitted that in my first post. I COULD have still shown up, but chose not to because mainly the tournaments I felt were already going to be over. Why exactly do I need to explain myself to you? I don’t think I need to, nor should you have to explain yourself to me. I set up a money match with you and failed to keep the commitment. You did the same, but yet your dumb ass excuse is better than mine? I had to be here to sign for mail, and lost interest in going to the tournament. I didn’t know VDO was going and Fugee. That would have made the decision so much easier to go. Not just some random money match that we both haven’t been able to keep for one reason or another. There will be plenty of chances for us to play so leave it at that. End of story and stop trying to make this into ‘let’s flame Frank for the same shit you pulled a few months ago’. Just because I chose not to show up because of my own bad assumptions doesn’t mean we won’t play our CvS2 MM. It will happen soon enough.

Actually, we DID make plans for the NEXT Ohio tournament to happen we would play a MM in CvS2 for $50. Sorry, I don’t look at posts in November, nor do I give 2shits about what you posted in November. So we are even so far in not showing up for money matches. I guess this is the rubber match in not keeping commitments. So, since you have gotten under my skin… I’m going to make an official, binding bet with you.

Race to 10 games, CvS2, $100. Tired of bitches trying to make shit into something it never was. I admitted I had a poor excuse and since you want to rub it in and make something into some more shit than you can handle, now it’s on. That’s my final offer.

Next time we see each other, no matter the venue, CvS2 for the PS2 ( since I have no DC hookups) race to 10 games for $100. Simple. And I don’t even play the game anymore, haven’t in years. See, I wasn’t trying to rub shit in your face, however you felt the need to specifically bring MY name up, when saying you didn’t show up. You could’ve left it at the certified mail thing, but no, you dregged my name up like I didn’t respond.
Now if you want to call “we’ll play for money at the next Ohio tournament” a binding agreement to a money match at an event that hasn’t happened nor hasn’t been announced to happen, then sure, I guess I didn’t show up because I had exams the following week. Sure. I could’ve been on a vacation to Tanzania, there was no date announced at the time we made the bet.

Anyway my concern isn’t whether or not we play the bet or anything like that. However I have a problem when you bring my name up saying I didn’t respond, then when I confront you about you again say in the same breath it was the letter but oh it was because you didnt respond. Even if I didn’t respond, which we have already established that I did, was it because of that? or was it because like you also said, because man it seemed like nobody was going to show up? no it was nothing of the sort, it was just the letter, if anything, followed by your own apathy.

Finally, man your name is WSOP and you are trying to scare me with a 100 dollar bet? Lol ok please. And you don’t play anymore but the money don’t mean a thing to you?
