ggs tonight guys. I couldn’t stay long because I wanted to get home and give myself some time to get started modding Brent’s stick. But good time while I was there.
Also, the FT10 was pretty fun.
One thing though, San. You gotta make sure you don’t get too down on yourself for losing. People are talking shit and trying to get into your head because it’s fun. We don’t have anything against you. In the end you’ll get used to it and it will help you deal with the nerves that comes playing a match that’s important.
It seems like you kind of go hard on yourself, but you gotta remember like Clint said last time, there are always people who are better than you, and in most cases, there are a lot of them (hell, around here just about everyone is better than us at everything).
Just keep at training mode, keep trying to learn your matchups, and try to get disciplined.
Also when you get done playing someone like Clint who plays Seth, ask him specific questions about what worked and what didn’t. If there are things you’re doing and flaws you have that he knows are coming. Ask him what they are and how he dealt with them. Then take that info and find a new way to approach the matchup.
Anyway, once I get this stick done I’ll be on IV tonight on PC. Anyone who wants matches hit me up on IRC if you’re all not too busy playing Quake or some shit.
Oh yeah, and video of that FT10 (at least the first 8 games or so) coming soon.
Once my left hand started steadying, I actually did okay. I was kind of expecting half if not all the room to be against me, so I just ignored it. Played what I did and found out that I did improve but not as much as I wanted to. Some of those matches were pretty fucking close, even if it was 3-10 Clint’s favor. Just need some more time playing and applying I hope, lol.
Alright, on the other side of news though, seems like a good 3/4th of us play Quake Live now, but I noticed that like the 3/4th of us only play Duel mode, but yes I am agreeing that TF2 is my first FPS, although I enjoy the fuck out of it. Also, it was pleasant seeing Brent and Brian again, same goes for Tam and his brother.

San, I can’t really offer advice to you on Cammy since I don’t play SF “competitively”, but I can say one thing… I don’t want you to take it personal, I’m just trying to offer some insight. Emotions/nerves, if you get too pissed off or annoyed or whatever, it will affect your playing, which you probably knew, but I could tell that you were getting atleast irritated. You gotta learn to keep it cool. That’s exactly why people fuck with you, they get a reaction from you. Just got to ignore it and keep it moving. If you can do that, I think you’d be able to turn those close rounds into wins. Know what I mean?
