HAHA, Jinmaster was living with me on Morse Rd. It was a sweet apartment in a nice neighborhood. He DID live in a bad neighborhood in Detroit. He was probably referring to the olden days. And his neighborhood in VA wasn’t the nicest either.
Umm… I greatly appreciate Tim’s efforts to host a tournament in his store, when he does not have to, and he doesn’t even like the game.
i don’t see the point in downplaying a venue when they’re looking to do something positive for the community.

Yo guys this whole dj2times thing is sounded pretty good. I don’t mind throwing the first $50 bucks up to have some kind of Bar fights. Maybe turn it into a once or twice a month thing. Just try and pull people from Columbus and Ohio Area.

One guy came in to my store and took advantage of a new guy who was in and got a refund for more than he should’ve, he came in when the owner was in (180-200 lbs all muscle), owner said we don’t want your business anymore. You could smell the whiskey on his breath. He tried to start something with the owner, his friends were like “let’s just leave dude.”
We’ll see if my vacation time will be sufficient next year, and I’ll look into that

The dude with Vamp Sav/Darkstalkers was Kajoq from Lexington, his Lei Lei is ridiculous. And the dude with the Kinnikuman game (aka Planetman was in it) was chopa. I forget where he’s from, but I really think he’s from around here
If there’s one thing I learned from Ohayocon, it’s that people will still show up for any kind of action no matter how lousy the weather is. Really, there could be half a foot of snow outside and people will still pack the rooms.
As for locations, I know of several hotels throughout town. They may work a bit better then bars or restaurants in terms of security and random people walking in. Not to mention that one can set up an operations center in another meeting room.
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I’m selling that black custom PS2 arcade stick that I bring over to Brent’s most of the time. It’s got a Seimitsu LS-32 and Sanwa screw in buttons (basically brand new as I only built it a month or two ago and hardly use it). It cost me a lot of time and money to build (even if it doesn’t look like it, lol), but I’m gonna let it go for below cost at 70$ for my C-bus pals. I’m gonna be building a new custom so I’d like to have money for it.

Edit: Tim i didn’t know you worked at the morse rd gamestop. I work at Graceland gamestop, and to the people saying they come in and see games on the floor you are probabaly thinking of Graceland haha. But are you sure you can get away with charging an entrance fee for a tournament at Gamestop? I don’t know how well that would go, but if it gets the ok i can bring a full PS3 rig.
