First of all I would like to thank all of the people involved with putting this tournament on, I am new to this board so I really do not know who was involved but thank you.
I would like to also thank Lucky Day for running a very smooth UMK tournament. You did you best to keep everyone satisfied and even with the late start, you kept things moving at a proper
pace, I was very impressed.
Tim Static, I am also going to thank you for helping keep things running smoothly. (Your above comments are not being taken into consideration for this thank you and I will touch on this subject in my next post))
Professor Rouse - Dude , You are an awesome player, I have been playing both you and your bother Dr. Rouse for years on XBL and I will say you guys are top notch and deserve a ton of credit for your UMK3 skill. I am not going to lie, you had me a little worried there, and gave me a great fight, if you ever get on MAME let me know I would love to play you some more online.
McLovins - Good games, even after years of you rage quitting and sending me racist messages on XBL and accusing me of cheating, it was still nice to actually be able to play you in person.
FAQ GET SOME (And his Friend) - I am sorry I forget your names. Very impressive, these are 2 old school MK players that hardly touch the game, and have very basic game play, however that very basic gameplay is very impressive and almost beat some of the people who play this game every day. You guys took people down to the wire and almost won those matches. If you play even a little more, people should be worried, you have a lot of talent and will be sick as hell in the future. Get at me and we will play on MAME
Overall I had a great time. This is Tournament 2 in a row that I have won and I am really starting to hooked on this style of play. I cannot wait to see the videos that come from this tournament, Lucky please let me know when they are up. Again thanks to everyone involved you guys did a great job.

As for the UMK3 talk, sounds like you guys need to man up. Shit is like cvs2 roll canceling all over again. Either adapt to the game or stop playing it, because it’s not like you can enforce a ban on something like that. In my mind there is only one version of a game, ‘glitches’ and all. If you really think it’s that bad, find a way to romhack and fix it, otherwise that’s just the way it is. Igotbass won fair and square, and as I heard he had a very close match with Nick (Mclovin). Doesn’t make it sound that overpowering to me. Sometimes games just have ugly shit, live with it.
Fuckin right, the whole “Upper Level” of the UMK3 community is shook as hell cause they cannot beat my style. All they do is talk shit on the Net and cannot back it up. These dudes have been playing UMK3 professionally for 15 years and still cannot fuck with my “Ghetto Kabal” Then when in person they shake your hand smile in your face like everything is cool and as soon as they get home this type of shit starts coming out of the net. I am sorry to air these people out on your site, but here it goes.
What all of these people are complaining about is the “Punch Block” moves in UMK3, for years people have been canceling their punches with block, its called a KARA-JAB. This can be done for a single punch or a series of punches, you cannot move at all when using the punch block technique, and if someone hits you it automatically blocks. Now if you just stand there punch blocking you will not win as it is very easy to beat. As soon as you are kicked , or swept, or jabbed it throws you back into a basic blocking stance where you can be attacked, thrown ect. I just happened to learn how to integrate this technique into my gameplay. All of the “High Level” players are fuckin sick because there “Finesse” style of play is getting eaten alive. This is not a glitch, this is not an error, it doesn?t break the game it is and has been part of the game since it came out. Its not my fault people cannot think outside of the box and play exactly like each other. You are exactly right Blasty, these dudes just got some Mortons Salt tossed up in their grill and they better step up there game, cause this is Tourney 2 Back to Back that I have won, and there will be more.
EWASHOCK, yea that Enhancement Talent Wrestler/UMK.com site owner/operator has actually banned me from his site and not posted results or Videos of Summer Jam and is attempting to sweep the Tourney under the rug, because he talked shit for 2 Months how I wouldn?t show up and get crushed by his crew ect. Guess what I went in to his house, owned his whole crew including LIJoe aka ILUVUJOE, AC1984, REO, and friends. During casuals I babied EWA SHOCK at least 10 times. Mysteriously all of the video footage of this is now MIA, I am banned of UMK.com again because loud mouth SHOCK got his ass handed to him by me.

Its being discussed among the High Level players, how about this gather your “High Level Players” into a room and I will smash them all as well. I will say this much if you are pissed now that 1 Online player “Me” has been showing up to your tourneys and OWNING everyone, I hate to tell you this, there is a line of “ONLINE” players behind me that will make your “HIGH LEVEL” players look retarted, just give it time. Its not my fault that you guys cannot draw more people to your events that actually have skill, and have giving your “High Level” players a false sense of reality that they are actually good because they haven?t had any competition. Also Tim lets not forget 1 very important issue. I babied you as well as every player that I have played at your tourney. If I was using the block punch to cheat and win, then how do you explain my ability to beat everyone not even using block? For players that don’t know UMK3, you cannot block in the winning round to “Baby” someone. I play just as good blocking as I do without blocking. The tourney winning game against Rouse, I babied him to win the tourney, guess what I wasn?t blocking. Figure out some other excuse to that now dude LOL. So take your NSF check to the bank and try to cash that shit brother, don?t get mad when the teller hits you with a $25 service charge cuz.
I am so sorry to have to post this in this thread. But I want the whole fighting game community to see what happens when new blood steps on the scene and single handedly eats all of the “High Level” players alive for lunch. Me and my crew are not bad people but i will not sit by the wayside and let people talk shit because they cannot beat me. I would love to hear some peoples opinions on what to do about this. Again I am sorry for defending myself, but It has to be done.

from what I have heard you and your crew were very nice and offered no problems at all as far as this “glitch” like dandy j said seems like RC to me shock has even told me that there are ways around it but the average player cant get around them seems to me this game is just evolving just like any other games does. I would like to personally thank you for coming out and offering your pot bonus as well as what we threw in 2nd place got over 100 :). Good shit on winning umk man! You will be welcome at future cbus events that Dandy J and I hold im glad you enjoyed out litte tourney!

My Man!!, Its nice to be part of this site where people do not have a vested intrest and kick people out because they cannot beat them. We all have the chance to talk shit man, however you run the risk of looking like a fool ex “EWASHOCK” when you get owned and then ban people off your site and do not post the results, try to bury the shit talking thread, and act like it never happened. From what I understand this is not the first time this has happened either, I cannot tell you how many PM’s I got thanking me for putting Shock in his place from various competitors.
Again sorry If I caused any trouble, but people want there “Scene” to grow, quit disrespecting people and embrace others skill. If you cannot beat it, learn to beat it, its the only way your going to get better, not by insulting everyone so there is no competiton at your tourney and you win by default because people didnt show up.
Lucky Day - Thanks for running the UMK3 tourney, that 2 player console is hype. Look forward to coming out to some of those Wed casuals to get some playing time in.

Funny thing is that every high level player uses this “Glitch” in some form or another. Any player that cancels there run jabs with block is using this glitch. Shock does it, as well as every player that knows about this game at all. They may not do more than 1 punch or do it as obviously as I do it, but again anyone that cancels a HP or LP with block is exploiting this feature of the game. All of the Infinite combos that use block as a cancel are using this glitch. If you used block to cancel anything in the game you are using this “Glitch”.Its not my fault I am playing the game within the ORIGINAL PARAMETERS set by the creators and have figured out a way to integrate it in my game play that nobody else has up and to this point.
Rouse did beat me 1 set not McLovin. Not as an excuse I had a very drunk friend with me that was screaming “Fuck EWA SHOCK” “Fuck Tim Static” and all kinds of other stupid shit during that match. I was trying to get him to leave and diffuse a potential situation and could not concentrate on the damn game and got sent to losers. I then came back in beat Rouse 7 in a row, lost 1 and babied him for the win. (Rouse is a very tough player and I do not mean to discredit him at all) I am sorry to anyone that my boy offended by screaming and acting a fool.
Yeah, looking forward to seeing those videos. I am 99% sure though even without seeing it that it should not be banned.

Everybody who was playing marvel - you guys made the tournament more hype than the ssf4 tournament hands down…the music that was used for mvc2 was awesome. VDO and TBAY dont be surprised i start asking you guys for tips when i try to step my marvel game up lol
Shoutout to the people who i played in the HDR tourney (which was the first time i played hdr competitively) i didnt think i would actully win but i did well for my first time (and shout out to jwong for spamming tiger shots in our match lol caught him with a nice DP )
however i would like to address a few things.
Brackets - if you dont mind me asking why were the brackets run on 4 sheets a paper rather than having a laptop using the tournament bracket app or tournamento (if thats how you spell it)? because honesty that was causing problems…i was in bracket four and when i lost to my TFA buddy i was sent to losers and then was took out of my bracket and was put in another bracket!!! i never seen that done before. i ended up having to fight not one but TWO of my TFA members back to back (which i thought was kinda odd) and then had a stream match (and got mopped).
and shout out to PL for not playing his match on stream. we both talked about how laggy it was with all the streaming stuff attached to it and really saw why when i was on the stream.
Other than that i had fun. hope to see you guys at seasons beatings.
1 pool was 2 sheets of paper but it was all one bracket due to the size of that bracket you didnt get moved to another bracket you just got floated to the another part of the same bracket nothing changed
Laptops are nice if you can stay in the same area for the entire tourney while running it, but when you have to run around the building as a TO or move around to find people to play their matches it doesn’t always make things easier.
I didn’t have a megaphone for MK to get guys to their matches, so I had to walk the building to search people out for stuff since they were all in other tourneys at the same time. Paper was way easier to carry with me and I only had one TV to worry about, lol.
Want thank The whole C-Bus Bar Battles staff for letting us come through and participate. Want to thank Justin for allowing me to interview him and coming down to the tourney and take all our monies. A couple of things.
