Well for me. Pro Wrestling is outrageous and it’s about the drama building up to the match. That and it is hella trollin kinda like our thread. There is more personality in Pro Wrestling than MMA or Boxing. Plus The Rock is that Dude.

I only wish you coulda chilled and watch some MMA ppvs with me when I was living there, bc I think you woulda enjoyed it too. There’s plenty of drama and all that stuff in MMA as well. Either way, whatever you’re watching as long as u enjoy it, that’s all that should matter.

I didn’t imply anything, homie. Wrestlers grease up, and then act out fights. That’s all I said. I didn’t say it was gay, I just personally can’t get into it.
Yes, full mount is one of the most advantageous positions you can have in MMA. However, there is no groping involved there, and its not a “mount” as in a dog mounting another dog or something. In actuality, if any fighter were to grope another, in training or in a match, they would probably be suspended indefinitely. It’s only gay to you b/c that’s what you WANT to see when you watch the jiu-jitsu/judo/wrestling aspect of MMA. However, there’s a lot going on there, very akin to fighting games in that it’s a lot like a chess match when you boil it down. But judging from your comments on the subject, I’m not gonna convince you either way so it’s cool. We can drop it here, no need to get in a flame war over things we aren’t going to agree on from the outset.

About the wrestling talk…along with what Dwaine said about it, i watch it b/c its a product ive watched for over 15 years now. Just like fighting games have shifted from being about those who are dedicated and are willing to put in the work, both strategically and execution-wise, to catering to the new bunch of folks who want the easy way into fighting games, thus introducing shortcut inputs/double plinking/large buffer windows, wrestling has shifted from the attitude pg-13 era (titties/puppies, bra and panties matches, sexual chocolate and mae young’s failed pregnancy and equally engaging storylines, shit talking like adults, plenty of blood, etc etc.) that many of us probably saw as children to the family friendly pg era we are in now (celebrity guest hosts, shit talking thru nursery rhymes and going red in the face, almost no profanity [till recently], the removal of certain graphic grapples [does anyone remember the piledriver? you dont see it for a reason…same with “Voldemont’s” Crippler Crossface], Mr. Fruity Pebbles inventing the spinner belt, etc etc]…times change, but i couldnt ever “stop” watching it unless something forced me too…maybe ill take a break from watching…but id never stop all together. @U-Volt: It also alot easier to get into Wrasslin then MMA. I watch some MMA before and it just doesn’t do it for me. Also I been watching Wrasslin’ since I was five, so I’m condition to like it. It’s on tv like three times a week since I been born. I bet If you ask somebody younger than me they would probably like MMA more. I think there is a demo for WWE All-stars that came out today. Just tried the WWE All Stars demo and it’s kind of fun. Reminds me more of Wrestlemania Arcade or Wrestlefest, which were both fun games.
Im still using Sentinel because no one else can do the job he’s there to do (especially for Taskmasker), but the change is retarded (i mean come on…the game has been out for 1 month…if they have to patch shit this early, i question how competent the workers at Capcom are…not that i havent before…but seriously…come on…) and clearly shows that scrubs have all the power when it comes to balance direction…but speaking of scrubs, i think its funny how they keep using me as a part of their statistic for why Sent needed to be nerf (their argument is that over half of the top 16 at FR was using him…:wtf:)
as for Wrestlmania…as with all their other ppv’s, i usually go into the SRK wrestling thread and see if someone hooks up a stream link that night…i typically miss the 1st match but can catch everything else…if all else fails, then i suppose id DL it if i can find a link but it’s never come to that for me yet…if the time comes, ill probably get in touch with you. Im ready for SNOOKIMANIA!!! Fuck HHH vs Undertaker, its all about Snooki vs Laycool…those 2 minutes are gonna be the highlight of the night…

and im down for watching WM on stream with a crowd, but the only issue i see with that is there lies the potential of not successfully finding a good stream (or finding one at all…WWE lawyers have been much more persistent about stopping free streams from happening and WM is on that DEFCON 1 level)

I’m actually surprised they added a balance tweakage to the game.
ALso, I learned that if Spider-man touches you with 2 bars of meter, and dormammu behind you with a fully charged liberation (2 creator, 1 destructor) you get 100%.
Spidey can do his basic BnB combo -> Maximum spider -> DHC Cheeseball. Then Drop meteors on them. Then you can Chaotic Flame because the meteors knock them back down to the ground (and gives you plenty of time to flame them on their descent.) Works from anywhere on the screen and you only need 2 meters when you start the combo, because spiderman will generate half a bar just comboing into maximum spider, then the meteors themselves will build another gauranteed 60% meter. the damage varies depending on how lucky you are to hit them with a lot of meteors or not, but the lowest it does is 900,000, and so far I’ve pumped over a million damage from it at times in training mode.
Back to the lab. I’m starting to learn spider-man’s control and cross-up game a little better.

are you reeeeeeallllllly surprised? honestly with the way people complain about anything and everything regarding balance (its MARVEL for a reason…), im not surprised…whats shocking about it is that its only 1 month into the game’s lifespan and drastic changes like this are being made already…and without any warning whatsoever as to the nature of the patch…but from what ive been reading in the threads, there’s 1 of 2 (stupid) reasons behind it (but its still speculation as of now…)
- (scrubby reason) people are quitting and Capcom is trying to keep them in the game and appeal to them…but this completely contradicts Capcom’s (or maybe i should say Seth Killian) original idea for the game and having everyone live up to their character as in the comics/their respective game…i dont see how Sentinel having less life than Viewtiful Joe of all characters is a representation of Sentinel in the comics…and from what other people have said…and i agree…those people that are quitting wouldnt be playing the game in a month anyway so wtf
- (bad balance reason) Its an indirect nerf on his assists…specifically drones (basically they are making punishes for calling him in hit harder…like there isnt already enough ways to completely stop drones cold
