Yay. Last night was the MK9 (and Portal 2!) prerelease event at the Augusta Rd Gamestop. The prerelease had a tournament for a free copy of the game and the guide.
It was hilarious seeing everyone geting rolled by my Johnny Cage. Both hilarious and sad. But it sure helped me; since I won I technically got my money back and could put it toward DoA so I won’t have to pay for it and BlazBlue on the same day anymore, and enough for Portal 2’s guide.
Now I HAVE to hype up Team Ladder. You can actually set up two controllers, each player controlling one player of the same team. Communication, knowing when to use EX moves, EX tag moves or X-ray and, well, not dying are keys to making it…
But I would like to point out FUCK SHANG TSUNG, FUCK SHAO KAHN.
Goro was aight. Annoying but totally doable.

@ Icege: Cola is mainly hype over MK9/AE/MvC3. AH3/BB make up no more than 10% of the community.
@ Eskay: I saw you were on AH3 for a bit last night, so did you buy or game share it from someone? AH3 was playing on my PS3 for about 6 hours straight and I’ve started liking Clarice/Wind. I’ve also bought Moondiver, so we can run through that game sometime.
Nothin’ but us weaboos in here. Don’t mind us. We’d rather play our games that contain an anime-like artstyle, high pitched voices and underage girls in risque clothing than to be excited for a game that took several years to get right… and still not be that appealing to most of the people within Columbia.
I am obviously gonna be hype for my specific game, as would anyone else. I was even hype for the garbage that is called Marvel vs Capcom 3
@Jaguar: Ya i bought it around 7pm (keyon you know what to do) and it took like 45min to download. I didnt get to playing it though until around 11 or so cuz i was busy getting caught up on my tv shows and anime. I’ll probably scoop up MK9 thursday or friday. Im kinda hesistating on buying it though. $90 on games in a single week kinda hurt the pocket. And that doesnt even include Portal 2 which is something I also want. /sigh
EDIT: You should game share that moondiver game with me and keyon so we can slice some aliens.

Considering that the last MK game was the POS called MKvsDCU, there’s understandably reason for concern. But the game:
The engine feels stiff as fuck the first couple of times. Then you get the feel for it and it’s like frollicking with angels, then subsequently ripping their wings off and cutting their heads off with their own halo.
