Upsets happening left and right. How isn’t it interesting? Do people really want to see the same faces in top 8/16, again? I think it is just awesome that we’ve seen some people that noone has ever heard of before step up to the plate and take down these overhyped ’ players. ’
Justin Wong loses to some guy, again?
Most of America’s " best players " weren’t even able to make it out of pools?
Kayane getting bodied and exposed for the terrible player that she is?
Japanese players forced to take each other down?
Sorry, but that makes me all sorts of interested. The only exception to all of this is that Daigo is just bodying his opponents with the Yun factor. It’s unfortunate, but hey… " He’s playing the strongest game, with the strongest character. " What else do you expect? Not that I’m a Ume fan. ( Or a Street Fighter fan at that. )
I’m more interested in Blazblue today. Even interested in the derp that’s going to happen in Marvel. In the end, I guess to each his own. The Skype chat that ensued along with evo made it all the more interesting.
Best Evo I’ve seen.
Now… to Watch MK9 Top 8 so I can support ATL Redd.
4 Japanese players
3 American players
1 Korean player
I was surprised to see Latif made it in winners and Flash Metroid make it at all. Fuudo seems kinda random but he’s using Fei Long. And that DR Ray guy was bodying everyone. I like Daigo but it’d be crazy if Poongko won.
Im rooting for Poongko to win SF. i think that’d be pretty awesome…as for Marvel…Marlin or Marn winning it would be cool…someone from Japan taking it would be interesting too…hard to say on that game
Edit: i forgot to mention that im also rooting for Flash and Latif to do well in SF. When it comes to BB…Dacidbro all the way
Viscant’s Wesker did most of the work. I think you should take notes.
Blazblue finals were indeed hype … because of Spark. Nothing against Lord Knight as I know he is an outstanding player, but I am not one to root for the person that is more or less expected to win. I am also not apart of Daigo’s bandwagon. I DO, however, want Poongko to win.
While it is unfortunate that a player from Japan still won, I am just downright overjoyed that it wasn’t Daigo. Us inside Jaguar’s place were also estatic when Poongko murked that man. Then Latiff right behind him.
I still stand by my statement that this Evo was the best Evo ever. Noone should disagree with it!
This was by far one of the best weekends I’ve ever spent with you guys - Between going out to eat at the Korean place Friday, me realizing Cola has GOOD looking women in The Vista Saturday night, Trollin’ 5-Points for the last time, Thomas’ hilarious Kayo Police comments and spending the weekend watching EVO/hanging out with everyone made this weekend hype.
Also, thanks to Eskay for helping put my computer parts in the new case and crackin’ out on AH3. Quintin also helped us realize the grounding issue with the motherboard.
@ Thomas: I also agree this was the best EVO ever. Mo Burnkicks!!
I think this was one of the few times where we screamed “DONT STYLE ON EM”. This weekend was indeed great. Noah bodying ppl with 5C, combofriend showing ppl that BIONIC ARM!!! is indeed real, and Poonko putting on a show for the crowd, both in game and in real life. All in all, best evo evah.
Cola disagreeing on the thread title? IMPOSSIBLE!! I’m also curious to know who’s attending Impact Clash next month? I’m going to start saving for the hotel room and games, although it won’t be much. Other than streaming for Charlotte on the 27th, I don’t plan attending any other tournament but IC for the next few months. I also have no idea if Seasons Beatings is even happening (Don’t see any threads posted about it).
Also, THE PRESEASON FOR FOOTBALL IS THIS MONTH!!! Hopefully, the Jags will stay in Jacksonville and get their stuff together Screw the rumors
