Eddie does use that team and uses it quite effectively. Though I have not gone out of my way to pick his brain about them ( and don’t think I wouldn’t should I decide to go against my word and take the game seriously ) I have done some forum surfing.
Funny to see posts from Coos in the Akuma thread. Quite surprising at that. I don’t remember ever seeing him touch that game.
About Akuma: I love MvC3 Akuma. It is unfortunate that he just doesn’t have enough to make him a point character in this ridiculous game. Doesn’t mean that I won’t try from time to time, though…
Wesker is - not gonna lie - Strider’s fill in. Probably the closest thing to that playstyle I can get that isn’t Phoenix.
Magneto? We all know that I have never had any love for that character. Not in Marvel 2 and especially not in Marvel 3. Should I decide to swap out anyone, it will be him. Don’t know who I’d put in that format that wouldn’t make me feel like I am degrading myself, but I’ll find out.
Enough about that, though. The REAL problem would be getting to David’s house for Casuals. Just found out that my partner in crime isn’t in the mood for it on this particular day. Might have to bother Mister Lee.
Get ready for UMvC3 by playing Pidgeot (Storm) now then? i hear she’s getting much better and that new gust move she got is said to be “game changing” (i can see the potential in practice…but ill need to see more applications of it to know for sure how it’ll turn out)
I cant help you with the Akuma thing…ive never had any love for that character and…i dont see that changing. The wesker choice is wise
Why not go with Ammy again? her air throw and counters all lead into the DHC glitch and/or just going from the slow down super then raw tagging in Wesker could perhaps lead to stuff as well…ironically enough, ive never seen the slowdown special hit Arthur…would he just stop? …hmmm…ponders the thought for a 10th of a second
We compared Storm’s new wind shenanigans with Rachael’s Silpheed. From what I hear, it has the same properties. If it does exactly that, then it is game changing. Why they would give her something like that is beyond me.
Amaterasu? I have thought about it and Cold Star seems to still be a decent assist. Though Ama would be the point character for obvious reasons. ( Some of which you stated. ) Though I shouldn’t be too reliant on something that will not be in the game for much longer.
Wesker is always a wise choice. My spectating of MvC3 has told me as much.
Not many people have love for Akuma. Don’t understand why, but it isn’t something I can really argue.
personally…i never liked Shotos…or shoto clones…giving a character the same moves but changing the properties …and maybe giving him/her a new move on top of that =/= a new character to me but rather laziness on behalf of Capcom. Only good Shotos have been for me is establishing footsie basics…otherwise, F all of them.
As for reliance over the DHC glitch…if that is the only way your winning (or a very large part of it), then yea you should stop using it…but otherwise, i dont see what the problem is with using something that’s still currently in and there to make your team a tad better…i guess im coming from the opposite side of the spectrum though so things would be a tad different for you (im coming from the “ive never had access to any glitches at all since Day 1” to “let me start setting them up intentionally while its still here”…i made the shift like a week ago just to simply work with till November for shits and giggles…thats why Mags/Doom/Sent is fun to play…and i like doing all their advance shit, its fun for the fingers)
Had fun again last night and good ish to Keyon/Eskay in AH3. Since I’ll wait for a package to arrive at my house before I go out to eat tonight, would be cool with everyone to meet at my place after 6pm and bounce once it arrives? Thomas also brought up a good point for Saturday night - We should all just head to Group Therapy around 11:30pm and skip the the filler
@ Sweeternity: Wow, that really sucks to hear but at least you tried to get something started.
@ Eskay aka Sherlock Holmes: Hope you bring your table and crime kit because we’re gonna have a “case” to crack tomorrow (yea, I went there…lol). I can’t wait ^____^
Everyone should check out Dragon Nest. It’s in open beta, and it’s a really fun online Action RPG. There is already an SRK guild and everything. My character’s name is SheVolt and I play on the Argenta(East) server. Holla.
If anime teaches you anything ( I went there ) it’s that fillers are bad. Using that as an example, it is only natural that we skip all of that bullshit and jump to the main event. Why waste time loitering around in dives when ( sadly ) group is the best place to go? Just my opinion.
I’m down for casuals. Unfortunately, due to money issues I will not be eating any of that delicious Korean food.
Besides. I gotta continue to prove that I am a better Magnus than Xavier.
Because certain people think they’re good. I aim to crush dreams, Byron. Even the smallest of them.
If I wanted to aim higher, I’d obviously target more profitable prey. Unfortunately right now - where I technically stand with that game is at the bottom of Columbia’s small food chain. Good work up, just like I did with Blaz.
Man, thanks to lovely DSL, watching EVO is a no-no. FLFL.
I wanted to watch the MK9 tourney so damn bad. Really, this would’ve been my first EVO I would’ve followed.
Guess Im’ma just watch the finals when they’re uploaded on YouTube.
So I’m guessing that I’m not the only one who doesn’t really care for Evo this year?Daigo’s in winner’s finals with SSF4:AE (no surprise), and MK I’ll probably just wait for Top 8 to run before I watch anything. MvC3… no.
