I play marvel

Marvel money match?

maybe?

After playing for a few hours on my ASUS, I can’t see myself ever wanting to play on a CRT again. There’s no lag coming from the monitor, the picture is crystal clear and the screen is a nice size. I didn’t think a 23in. would look this big. Once I get my HDMI splitters and capture card for streaming, I’m never lugging around my heavy ass CRT again.

@ AwardTour: After eating at Zaxby’s for the first time today, I can see why everyone likes it so much. Their chicken is pretty damn good and now you’ve got me addicted. Guess I’ve found a new place to eat lunch at XD

I hope to see most of you guys at Nashi tomorrow

Zaxby’s is that real mans Cane’s. These northerners don’t know nothin bout that.

David, I’m offended at the chobits avatar. You may have changed it back, but I saw that shit. The mind cannot unsee

@ Simplekiss: trollface.jpg

Edit: Alright, I think I’m done for now :stuck_out_tongue: Also, you know you wanted to see that avatar ;-D

@ I mean it’s only exactly the same monitor that i bring around every where i go. =O

@Kimchi: Ya but you always have super on your setup, and no one ever pays attention to that game. XD

I’d respond more accordingly if I didn’t already know that you came out from under your bridge just to troll. :stuck_out_tongue:

As for Nashi, count me out. I have better things I can do with that time slot.

@Usagi: Well its cold this morning and i had to scrape the ice off the bridge, might as well kill 2 birds with one stone.

Edit: speaking of trolling, what’ could be better than hanging out with your friends and getting trolled by a certain amazing adon?

I think you just came up with the next thread title right there…

I go to Nashi, play with people that don’t take the ( any of them for that matter ) games seriously when I am actually trying to improve on whatever game I decide to play while there. Since noone takes it seriously, I don’t improve. Therefore, going to Nashi has become not only a waste of time, but it has made me an inconvenience to the people that have give me or had offered me rides there. It’s unfortunate that I no longer have a PS3 in my posession due to ours at home finally giving out, but when the appropriate environment arises, I shall be there. Hopefully, that answers your question Eskay…

If it was even directed toward me in the first place.

I’ll be available for both friday and saturday. If that fails to occur, then I am all for just hanging out with all of you guys normally – without the gaming aspect. Until then, I’ll be around.

@David: I expect to lose in our FT5 coming up, due to the amount of experience you have over me. Tsubaki or not. Generally speaking " I bet’ not win. "

That is all.

OOOOO so salty but hey got say this if you play games for fun then you can get better as well when I first started playing street fighter 4 I was garbage tier as hell people like Hat or Keyon, and Awardtour I couldn’t even touch, it got to the point that no matter how much I practiced I just seem to get worse. Then I met a group of really good friends people like Al and Da Unkown who played to have fun so when super came out I started playing with them and just tried to have fun. By doing this I discovered that I was managing to improve my combos more and started developing a play style of my own and found a character I work well with (being my Adon).

What I really trying to say is if you don’t take it seriously all the time that can usally be for the better. If playing starts to feel tedious then you have developed a problem that is hard to fix. But hey that’s just what I think you can listen to it or take it with a grain of salt. Overall if you play to have fun then there is nothing wrong with that.

@ Thomas: That’s the reason why I mention I’d like to see everyone play their mains at our next gathering. Now if seriously improving in either BBCS or SSFIV is what your trying accomplish then we’re after the same goal. There will probably be three setups (Mine, Kimchi and Eskay) and we can have serious practice session on one of them while another setup can be used for whatever. I was actually doing some serious practice with team Juri last night and we talked about what moves/pokes beat out certain specials/normals while playing each other. Not to mention, I’ve been practicing everyday with Juri, since our last tournament. So just keep that in mind, before you make your decision of not going tonight.

Also, I seriously hope you don’t do a ft5 match against me with that mindstate. Just because I have more experience doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll beat you. I’m going to expect a tough match like always.

@ SimpleKiss: Your gonna stop with these links, lol

@ Zerog: There’s a difference between having fun while practicing and people just playing for fun while you’re trying to get better. Also, I wouldn’t say he’s salty. He actually has a valid point.

I wont’ becoming out tonight as i have half a semester’s worth of english work to do.

I’ll say one thing about the money matches.

You don’t make money matches to have fun. Whenever a single dollar is at stake, people change and stop having fun. It ruins the mood.

I’ll play him in 2002UM, and I’m glad he wants to play, but money matches are not the way.

Also, to respond to your Nashi comment, here’s a few comments of my own.

  1. None of you are actually students or Nashi members even, so you are basically trespassing on school property. I wouldn’t complain about having a place to play if I were you, considering the room is not part of Nashi and you are basically crashing it.

  2. Since you don’t GET to complain about the place, then don’t complain about people wanting to have fun. You’re more than welcome to come learn KOF2002UM, as me and Zerog ARE students and he has the game on his 360.

  3. It’s not your fault that the focus of the group has shifted from wanting to improve to showing off with no signs of help in sight. Maybe that’s just me being slightly salty, but I only see one or two people trying to help others, while the rest offer no advice, no help, no feedback.

Now back to your Marvel comment, I know the S stands for Storm but I’m still confused that people mention Psylocke being used more often than Sentinel. Maybe it’s just a different scene… Bah, I use Felicia, Jill and T. Bonne any damn way.

@Usagi: Wow I was not expecting a serious answer like that :stuck_out_tongue: Most of my post was just to troll. I do understand what you mean though about Nashi not being an enviroment for “serious training”. I realized that a while back which is part of the reason why i bring my DS there and play CTrigger/DQ9. Its actually the only chance i usually have to play my DS because all i do is go to training mode on the ps3 as soon as i get home. Speaking of which, ever since charleston i’ve felt left out on that pac-man vs hype. =(

I know what my character can do, but I know taht I cannot do everything I’d like to do with him. In that regard, I know my limits and I also understand that they need to be pushed further if I ever want to become what I want to be with him. You play Tsubaki – adamantly. You’ve entered tournaments with her, and stuck with her regardless of her position on the tier list or how horribly she’s matched up against ( insert character here. ) Do I have the mindset OF losing in my mind? No. What I am saying is that with what is on both of our plates, the outcome -should- be obvious. Call it elitist if you want, but I honestly feel that if I were to beat you, then it is not a reflection of how much I have grown… but of how much you may have deterriorated.

When it comes to SSFIV, I consider myself to be one of, if not, the worst. I’ll eventually get out of that hole as well, but that is not my main concern.

When it comes to blaz, I -am- the worst. Anyone that loses to me -should- feel bad and if they don’t, then I consider that as them not caring about the game as much as they lead on… but hey, if people in the community are ok with mediocracy, then more power to them. I’m not, nor should anyone else in this community.

I’ve made my decision to not go to nashi – and to keep it that way until I am given proof that the seriousness will set in. If I feel the same thing is happening with casuals at ( insert name here )'s house and Madness, then I’ll stop showing up to that, too. I wouldn’t want to inconvience the scene with my presence.

@Zerog: Competition is my fun. Da Unknown can vouch for that, himself. If I cannot challenge myself in some way, then it becomes stale and a waste of time. Do I enjoy being with everyone and doing things with them? Of course, I do. They’re my friends. What I don’t enjoy is this air of mediocracy that a good portion of our community is fine with. People who have been playing ( X ) game for ( X ) amount of years do -not- do what some of the members of our community do. What’s the point of being competitive and all of that, when I am being shown that noone gives a damn? I understand where you coming from and no I am not taking any kind of frustration out on you ( or anyone for that matter ). I just got tired of holding it all in. That’s all. For me, though… Fun has a different meaning.

/end wall of text

EDIT: :frowning: You did miss out on the pac-man hype. No worries, however. I am sure you’ll get your chance. I was the best one out of myself, Kimchi and Xavier, afterall.
