How ironic w/ the phone thing huh? I got home late and thought i would post it/PM the next day … sorry. $700 isn’t robbery, but i wouldn’t have paid that much. I kinda sabotaged myself w/ the price list i made for “them” anyway. I’m kinda sad that I’m not getting it but let’s face it, where the hell would i put it? At least it’s going to a good home … and a close home.

True statement. Boen is a cool guy, so once he gets the machine it should be fun to go there to play once in a while. What would be hella cool is if he started collecting games and then we could make the place a mini arcade. But that’s simply a pipe dream at this point.
And holy shit, I love ST. DJ, Guile and maybe a little Dictator are in my future as characters. If I make it to Midwest (Evo North) I’m for sure going to enter ST, game is too fun not to. :bgrin:

unfortunately gunther’s … the REAL gunther’s, died a long time ago. “Dumpster’s” as my older brother called it was just a taste of what it used to be like. Either way I miss not having an arcade in this town. Columbia has always had at least one decent arcade over the past 25 years. Whether someone tries to open another gaming establishment in this town that is arcade related is yet to be seen. I don’t know if Quinlan’s has the room, or is actually interested in competitive games. If he got 2 more cabs (3S and GG) I think I’d go there. Shit, he already has VS SMB.
I still have almost 20 kits and I always wanted to open an arcade, it’s just too hard to make it in the biz these days unless you are a dave and buster’s or a chucky cheez. I really thought hard about opening different types of businesses and incorporating a mini arcade element. If you have something that earns decent money than you can have games on the “back burner.” TK brothers is a prime example of how NOT to do that, but I just think TK fails horribly in food and gaming, there sports screens are big and spread out and I don’t know about the bar, that might be the only thing they’ve done right? Billiards is close to what I’d like to do: successful pool room w/ good food and bar, but they don’t focus on there games at all. I would only change a few things: NO hard drinks only beer, get more tvs for sports, get some arcade games.
Remember paul (Indian–dot, not feather) who was part of the SLACKERS ownership? He is supposedly going to open an incredible pizza out at nifong? Of course i heard this news almost 2 years ago, then ran into him 1 year ago and asked him about it. He said he stills wants to do it, just needs the CA$H. Not that this place would be SF heaven or anything, but I think it could be a good gaming establishment and paul seems like he would listen to his customers? I always liked paul and didn’t care much for Kurt/Kirk? Prolly be a fun place to work too?
