Slackers is looking to get like 1k+ out of the Marvel v SF cabinet, which puts it at too rich for my blood. But they have an empty cabinet + a CPS - 2 A board available for on the cheap. Of course, it’s somewhere in St. Louis.
Do we know anyone in STL with a truck who would want to make like gas money+ to drive a cab + CPS-2 board to Columbia? Probably not, but a boy can dream, I guess.

That marvel vs SF cab at Slackers has already been sold. I went in there a few weeks back to ask if I could play it because it was turned off, and they said they couldn’t turn it on because someone was buying it.:sad:
They had sold it, but then the buyer backed out. It sat there for a bit, then the suicide battery on the Marvel B board went tits up. They apparently bought a new one, and combined the two working bits into a working cabinet.
Anyway, this left them with a CPS - 2 A board and an empty cabinet, somewhere in the bowels of a warehouse in STL. Going to be heading that way with Pat Saturday, should be able to hit the tourney as well. Then apparently I’ll find the silver arrow and finally be able to kill Ganon.
I wish like hell I could have gotten in when Gunther’s in Columbia closed down. They had some crazy deals on some good games. Course, I’d rather have the arcade still in business…

Just picked up Marvel for the PS3, I always enjoy playing it and Pat may be in as well.
Also, I have a cabinet and CPS - 2 A board in my house now. I expect to have a running product sometime in 2012. That’s assuming I don’t get bored and just slap my PS3 into the cabinet with a spare TV.

yeah reversal dp beats it 100% of the time. Honestly if they’re doing it too close you might even be able to throw on wakeup, but that’s hella risky. But yeah, if you’re playing a shoto, just dp it

Just so you know, reversal timing is much stricter in ST than in many new games. I don’t know that it’s literally frame-perfect requirements or what, but compared to like SF3 (and obviously SFIV) it’s way harder.
I would probably hate ST and HDR if throws weren’t so easy to break.
