So where’s the Marvel action in CO? I’m thinking of moving this year. Probably to CO or somewhere in the northwest.

Marvel is kind of dead here. There are a consistant maybe 5-6 people that play. Me, big d and don are probably the better players. We really dont play all that much but if we had someone who was serious about it, we would probably start playing seriously again. If you were to come here though, in the aurora mall there are 2 mvc2 cabs and people playing on them usually. While you are here, you will undoubtedly pick up other games too though because all the people that play at the arcade play 3 - 4 different games.

yo denver, i’m just here to put in a plug for super con, the tourney happening here in may, its got cvs2 and 3rd strike as far as 2d fighters, i think one of you guys could win it.
I think we have some people from here going to it. I was planning to but they announced a tourney for St. Louis and there looks to be strong comp for my main game (Tekken)…so yea. Maybe next time.

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the fees. It’s too much for an ABQ tourney. My GF is not exactly fond of having to pay $20 or $30 just to watch people play games.
Marvel has been demoted to a side tourney game because it’s time for other games to shine. :wtf:
A guaranteed Marvel tourney would change my mind about the whole thing, though.
its down to twenty now. i know its a lot it sucks, i wish i could just throw my own god damn tournament, but theres no players here, and i can’t gaurantee prize money

no i know what you mean, i’m not good at st, 3s, or marvel, so if there was no CvS2 i wouldn’t even bother to hype the tournament, maybe we can convince them to have a marvel tourney?
I think I’ve screwed myself over by pretty much only trying to get good at Marvel and SC games when it comes to fighters, lol. I’ve been going to these ABQ tournaments since I was like 16 I think (I’m 21 now) and Marvel was always on the main list.
I still want to go if enough peeps show up. 8 man Marvel tourney is fine by me. =D Gotta one up DOA4 and have finals with real mashing.
I dont think that any of us from colorado is showing up to it. That entry is retarded. Plus most of us are working that weekend
