yunno whats good? or at least satisfying,…those different Maxwell House International Coffee flavors.
specifically french vanilla and hazelnut.
sadly i can only drink their decaf versions now and they aren’t easy to find out there on supermarket shelves.
i drink em on the few days i just want a different tasting decaf coffee.
best coffee btw is south american/caribbean coffee.
Reason:
its potency.
incredibly potent.
but potency depends on what brand, what country it was grown, what species of coffee plant etc.
best coffee i ever had was coffee grown in the province of yauco puerto rico.
so potent it made your ears, neck, and tummy warm and tingly.
it was like sex.
or opium.
no coffee i’ve had before or since compared to that coffee from yauco.
sadly for americans, their best(most potent) brands from that region don’t sell their brand outside the country, and its illegal(u.s. import laws) to import coffee from many south american countries…including pr.
that was back in the days when i could still intake caffeine.
Yes indeed. There is this coffee shop/smoke shop in downtown Los Angeles that I go to quite often and the cute hipster chick already knows to make this for me. Lol.
Have you tried going to one of those bikini cafes? I know that’s not your thing, but we could use some of those in Canada. It’s probably too cold though.
I bought a Mr. Coffee a few days ago. It’s nice. I drink Folgers classic blend with chocolate Coffee Mate at the moment. I also enjoy the return of the morning dump.
sounds like yall be drinking some nasty ass coffee, more like nectar of the scrubs
real gentlemen, you know like the ones with monocles and pimp canes, drink it black harvested from higher elevation crops cause you know, that’s where the good shit comes from.
Guess I’m not a real man lol, cuz I can only drink strong coffee seriously latte’d or frappe’d up, depending on the seasons. Generally though, I prefer the taurine hit from the canned energy drinks. Of course, in central and south America, they just have actual coke to shunt themselves through the day :wgrin:
I dig coffee and usually have a couple cups per day.
I fucking hate Starbucks. Their coffee tastes like somebody filtered the crap from the bottom of a fireplace through an old unwashed gym sock. There’s a regional chain around here called Biggby (formerly Beaner’s, but they got into trouble and had to chang it) that sells pretty good coffee, but it’s hella expensive and the ones near where I work are always full of jackass college students who leave their stuff all over the floor.
Know what coffee is surprisingly decent for what it is? McDonald’s. It may not give you the coffee shop atmosphere, but if you don’t give a shit about that (I don’t) then their coffee is actually better than the dedicated coffee chains. I guess if they don’t have to worry about providing a coffee shop experience, then they can’t slouch on the product itself.
I don’t grind my own coffee or have a nice setup by any stretch. I’m pretty lazy and utilitarian about my coffee at home, so I usually hook up the drip coffee maker about an hour before I have to stagger out of the house to do whatever. I have a French press, but rarely use it. This thread’s making me feel like a philistine.
On the health issue, coffee is like most things: just fine in moderation, and even has certain benefits. It becomes unhealthy if you overdo it, which I imagine a lot of people do if they’re running on too much caffeine and too little sleep. And that’s a good number of American citizens right there.
Paired with one of these, http://www.amazon.com/Hario-MSS-1B-Mini-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B001804CLY
you get some very delicious gourmet coffee for a pretty reasonable price. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to an electric ceramic burr grinder, but my coffee drinking habits haven’t justified the price yet.
My dad loves Micky dees coffee. I havent had it yet.
I want to go to circle K on monday and jsut get a vessle for French Vanilla sweetener and splenda. I use to drink Sweetener straight when I would smoke, lol.
Coffee shop atmosphere sucks. One place called safehouse (made for bikers that stay sober) has good coffee and cheap refiles, but the atmosphere is a bunch of gothy chodes.
If you drink enough water, you should be fine. hard to overdo coffee unless yo also have energy drinks, soda, tea, etc.
Just drink water and not before bed.
Coffee makes it easy to sleep less if you wake up and drink a cup. GO BACK TO SLEEP INSTEAD!
Blue Bottle Coffee has a few locations in New York. If they’re anywhere near as good as their California locations, it will change the way you perceive coffee.
