Cody USF4 General Discussion

Now that the numbers for Codys movement have been reveal where does this put him in the overall movement speed compared to the cast? Anyone know? Still bottom 1/3rd or what?

with RF combo I hit 708 stun anybody gotten higher? combo was jump in HK c.hp heavy CU RFC crack kick ex CU

@srkfadc Well… it depends on your stipulations. You mean high stun based on using Red Focus? Because I can fully stun Akuma with a Counter Hit combo if all your looking for is high stun. But if it’s within the means of a Red Focus combo… then forget I said anything.

Initial stuff:

  • lp CU > ex CU juggle doesn’t seem to work on any of the SFxT characters. It works on Decapre, but it doesn’t juggle fully - seems like she doesn’t have the same hurtbox as Cammy.
  • Double crack kick doesn’t seem to work on any of them either.
  • The camera has a bit of a hiccup when you hit Hugo with crack kick.
  • Zonk can be FADCd but I couldn’t get it to cancel into Super. Pointless I know, but in theory you might be able to get heavy ruffian trade into zonk juggle > super. If you can’t cancel it into Super that would be pretty odd - can’t think of any moves that function like that.
  • Although Zonk FADC is useless in combos, you can get close enough afterwards to corpse hop with crack kick.

Did anyone buy the Frame Data App btw? If so, how is it? Does it show hitboxes and all that stuff?

Even ryu can punish with Ultra 1, what a joke Capcom

Believe me guys, Cody is worse in Ultra, EXCU can be used even less than it was supposed to be used in 2012. What’s the point in making a move more invincible if then when blocked can now be punished by basically all the ultra in the game, unbelievable o.O

Welp it’s a good thing I hardly use it then.

Every upper cut in the game can be punished with ultra.

This is the best version of Cody. Now that’s not saying much compared to the buffs the rest of the cast got. But this is undeniably the best version of Cody in the sf4 series.

No, and you don’t have to use 3 bars to make it safe. Ahh I forgot, it starts up in 7

Anybody have a walk speed comparison video? Damn he seems much faster, I wanna see how much.

I think they could have gone a little further with Cody buffs.

does u2 actually reach further now or were capcom lying? lol it seems similar to 2012 with less damage.

Yeah I’m also struggling to find the difference.
I really don’t think Cody’s gonna be making waves in this game, gonna have to wait and see I guess.

can’t seem to safe jump decapre. her wakeup is weird. also i cant seem to combo mk ruffian after an OSed crack kick against back dashers :frowning:

just test U2 on max range. in 2012, you could hit the opponent with the dust, and he recovered to be able to block the pipe follow up. That **should **be fixed.

U2 is the same, just tested it, even if the dust connnects the pipe won’t

IIRC the wrench swing just comes out faster. doesn’t really go further. Basically making it so cody catches up with the dust before it ends.

EDIT: Also Cody’s HK super drops in the corner…still. Goes about halfway then he moves in front of them and they drop out because they’re behind him. :confused:
