If they want me to use the knife they just need to change the icon/sprite, seriously, have you looked at that thing recently?
I’m at the point now where I’m not sure there’s any point hoping that Ultra is going to address the problems of 2012. This isn’t just a patch like 2012 was, this is going to be an entirely different game. The new systems will probably impact the way its played in ways we haven’t considered yet.
I don’t think you can do EX rocks and keep them grounded after a crumple unless it’s level 3… could be wrong though.

Isn’t the combo impossible anyway? Doesn’t EX RFA costs 4 bars? RFA costs 2 bars and EX cancel another 2.
EXRFA was made to be only 3 meters now, Sakonoko made a suggestion during Capcom Cup which was mentioned in an interview, i guess they took his feedback and used it.
So the EXRFA crumple is the same as a level 2 crumple then, thought it would be lvl3, oh well.
Look. If Capcom wants to make Cody rely on the knife more, then make it so it works like Vega’s claw or mask.

I have been playing with the idea of being able to cancel normals into knife pickup, and being able to snatch the knife out of the air.
Any Cody players going to Final Round, where i guess the last US Location test will be held.
Might be last chance get any feedback in for characters that have gotten only nerfs or useless buffs…
Is there a way we can collectively sign a petition or something to give more merit to a potential change in capcom’s eye’s (ie backwards walkspeed buff). Even if the trade off is all of these gimmick knife buffs removed, it’ll be worth it. Playing footsies in only gonna be harder now with other characters getting walkspeed buffs like ken. you can only whiff punish so much.
I’m planning on going. Though i’m glad at least america gets one more location test if they’re basically going to do little to no changes at this point.

heads up, it’s not really anything. just talk about the knife gimmick and nothing about stuff cody could actually use regarding the knife.
Even they are unsure how it helps Cody aside from saying it’s interesting, they actually know it’s f*cking worthless.
I love how they hear people talking about wanting to use the knife more and instead of addressing the biggest issue with the knife, they give it something it doesn’t need.

should we be concerned that the character changes are being handled by someone doing fullscreen machine-gun blows with dudley?
