I feel the same but only if Capcom takes time to advance his character. In other words if hes still gonna have the whole brooding type attitude i say keep the prison duds, if he ever redeems himself let his duds match his attitude. Although I can count on one hand how many characters Capcom has actually developed in some way…
I dunno, I just think it is insane that Capcom didn’t jump at the chance to cash in on literally the most basic, uninspired costume ever and simultaneously please all Cody fans.
tru dat. its just hopeful thinking on my part, because let’s be brutally honest. street fighter has never been about the story or development of characters. atleast tekken has character arcs (although convoluted), every street fighter game’s intro ending (or atleast now and days) dont develop the story AT ALL, its funny. i remember back then when the endings were actually neat.

I bought MK deception + pre/sequel just for the singleplayer story mode…
also, while the story plotline is not THAT important it still playes a bigger role in reception of the character, in particular when someone is new to the game / universe. the appeal is a huge reason for someone to pick up a character (you didn’t pick cody because he is midtier eh?). so yes, character background DOES matter to an extent.
I picked cody because I liked how he played had nothing to do with his story lol
his fighting style is also part of his background tho 
well, unfortunately, (imo) cody is all but confirmed. why i say this? well, now that rolento and heihachi have been teased, it validifies the lupinko list (sounds like “the davinci code” doesnt it? nice ring to it). anybody feel that cody and guy are really awesome, but just dont belong in SFxT? I just want less AE/Final fight alumni, and more alpha and 3s characters (looking at elena, alex, oro, urien, birdie)

This is cool. To be honest I was gonna look the other way with SFxT but there are a lot of hot additions to the cast so it’ll be worth a look.

ibuki is the partner for rolento, so it wouldn’t make much sense featuring cody in her artwork.tho, I’m getting a little worried that cody doesn’t make the cut…
Yeah I feel that. Other characters who were teased have already been formally announced…
It would make sense that they are not part of the game since they probably would want to spread out the final fight characters into different games.

It’d be so dumb if they took the time to feature them like that and not include them. If they were just there in the background, that’d be one thing, but the teaser made it pretty clear that they were in…oh well. Starting to seem like they raised our hopes just to dash them. Without Cody, considering I never cared much about the Tekken cast anyway, probably will skip this game.
yeah. also, as stated, why get the sync for them just for one line? It’s not like haggar who got just thrown out of the ring (and was on screen for a split second) but got a blasting entrance.
