All of you judging this Cody footage is kinda ridiculous. The characters aren’t finalized. So go ahead and nay say all you want. If the characters don’t change at all from what we are seeing that will be something.

Where are they claimed to be finalized? I thought they weren’t finalized. They don’t have move lists in game or anything. And I’m just as anxious, if not more so, thank you for Cody to be released.

Another thing. Hackers, can Cody use a Bad Stone cancel like Ryu’s Hadoken Cancel?

they are final. hackers recently also used them fully functional online in ranked matches. they have trials, command lists and everything else. only very early hacks weren’t done properly and haven’t included everything, as it takes time and raw footage was more important.

and no, cody’s charge move is his ruffian kick.

Cody looks fine, big beefy small combo are more up my alley than flicking someone with my fingers 24 times for the same damage.

Oh and I want to Zonk troll again.

I just wish that EX Zonk Knuckle would Wall Bounce, and at least we know that EX Ruffian Kick does extend combos to somesort, maybe his neutral jumping HP does ground bounce?? and they should’ve made the wrench and pipe as new moves :frowning:

they should just change zonk animation to include swining a pipe :stuck_out_tongue:

Why does he need a bounce? Their sole purpose is to extend combos and do more damage, but so far it looks like cody already hits like a freaking truck. I’m assuming he also has ridiculous untapped potential on juggles with criminal upper and stuff, this was already a very strong point of his in sf4, a engine where juggling wasn’t significant at all.

I’d much rather have his overhead be comboable, because if he remains a frametrap character we’re fucked in this engine.

Looks like Cody is a footsies character with good normals and amazing punishes, just like SF4. Frame traps still work in SFxT though? Especially with forward-moving normals like f+MP. We’re always in range to be threatening with throw if we’re pressing buttons in their face.

Cody also has a good crossup and a good anti-air, two very important things in SFxT. The anti-air especially.

cross cancel says frame traps won’t work that much.

Not only that, they have absolutely no reason to press buttons. It’s really hard to crack people open in this game specially when they understand the risk/reward. In sf4 throws did reasonable damage and led to a safe jump or meaty pressure with os, in this game it leads to nil damage, half of which is recoverable, and gives the opponent space. Since it’s a hard knockdown he can react to what you do and roll out or not, unlike techable knockdowns.
It doesn’t help that everyone and their mom is rocking autotech gems.

f.hk as anticipated can be juggled by everything.

ex rocks do a TON of damage. in general cody seems to do a TON of damage himself. just look at trial 19. ex rocks, s.hp alone does decent damage.

J.hp > S.hp > Ex zonk > C.hp > C.hp > Ex zonk > S.hk > knife throw = 620 dmg

Linking into stomach blow off stand HP is insane (block a DP = die for no meter?). Combo into and out of normal zonk in the corner sounds incredibly stylish.

Anybody know how to hack the game to get these characters? :frowning:
