A reenactment:
Day 1: Alright SFxT! Let’s Go! Ok, so no downloadable content day 1. Let’s just get in the mix.
Day 2: Time to pick a character. Who is similar to Cody? How bout Paul? Hey a Cody/Paul team would be pretty beast.
Day 3: Ok Cody needs to come out now. It just isn’t the same beating down Hugo/Poison without Cody/Guy
I look at it like this, when Cody is brought into the SFxT universe, he’ll be an amazing character to use. I kinda feel like he will have solid hits and combos like in SSF4 but move around like SFA3. Just my thoughts. And I became a Cody lover in SFA3 via the fighting world. As for Final Fight, you can’t beat uppercutting chins all day.
Cody/Guy beating on Hugo/Poison/Rolento/Ibuki/Cammy means more tears of joy for me, since im maining the FF characters (along with Mega Man and Pac-Man), i have some time to start some combos. and once thier artwork is out ill be making an arcade stick honoring the FF crew(and add Haggar’s MvC3 art(vanillia))
It’s annoying knowing the only characters I have an interest in won’t be released for another 6 months. Looking on the bright side, it gives Capcom time to fix the bugs?
I just want Cody. I’m really enjoying Juri, Hwoarang is a lot of fun, and bringing in Asuka, Ryu and Sagat are a nice time to time change…but I just want Cody.
I mean, June…3 months away…but seriously, Fall 2012? That could be 6 months…that could be 9 months for something that they already finished. /cry /whine /complain /pout /rant
I’m at a point where I will have hard time switching to cody now x). got so accustomed to guile, seeing how good he is. well, but gotta play team swag: cody in officer uniform and paul with dem shades.
I love what I see so far. it’s a pity that he has no bouncing moves and ex ruffian looks like it kinda has less range, but it’ll be prolly a useful combo extender.
b.mp also looks weakened as well (like all anti airs), s.hk looks strong as it was in ssf4 and hk ruffian is still great. cody will be a good point character I’d say, playing footsie, building meter and switch canceling into your partner off a criminal upper.
his back dash looks trice as good, still a good forward dash (might be possible to do some charge canceling stuff with it).
my fingers are itching to get my hand on him to find all possible combos.
I feel like he should have something more I just don’t know what, doesn’t even look like he has much combo potential by himself but i’m hoping the charge CADC (charge attack dash cancel) will prove otherwise.
rocks and lk ruffian will shut down mist stepping and other special steps. has AAs. ex zonk on wake up and roll maybe bad spray? i think the tekken cast will have a hard time against him.
Cody looks fine to me, but it looks like criminal upper is going to be super important for juggles. I just hope Zonk is a bit better as I won’t be able to use EX Zonk as much.
He still has f.mp, cl.mp, cr.hp xx criminal upper. I also believe you can have a cl.hp before that combo. If they gave him wallbounce or groundbounce he’d kill the entire cast in one combo.
The fact he has aa already has me excited, but I’m even happier that now he has an actual backdash and you’ll play footsies with cr.lk into major damage. I’m not sure I’ll play him since I like the tekken cast and he’s probably still a frame trap character, which is terribly weak in this game where throws don’t exist.
