Cody’s Police Alt + Asuka Delinquent Alt = Baka Gaijin Waifu Husbando Deluxe team. Everything else is small time.

since I can’t change it all I want is that he is day one dlc instead of waiting a month tbh. my Paul/Cody team need to deal some serious blond brawler damage. Cody in paul’s outfit is also pretty dope for that reason :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah i hear you, I’d rather have him on day 1 now too. It’s just that I’m having issues with the fact that how DLC is handle nowadays, it’s just so… dirty. I’m still getting it tho, lol.

I think every sf character has a wallbounce and every tekken character has a groundbounce, I wonder what cody’s could be. Also, I’d guess that nj.hp causes a ground bounce.

this is not entirely true tho. paul has a wallbounce for instance. any overhead vs airborne targets also causes a groundbounce as far as I know.
but my bet is that ex ruffian will have a wall bounce. might be the mk version this time around too.

Hammer hook might ground bounce. I really hope ex ruffian is wallbounce too. Ex Zonk would be difficult to combo consistently

it doesn’t wall bounce anyway (as seen in the video). hammerhook might be too slow to be of use in combos.

every overhead causes a groundbounce on counterhit and against airborne opponents, though the ones that hit multiple times may eat the bounce if the first hit hits (which is the case for cody unfortunately).

i can’t think of quite a few character’s wallbounces, like ken, cammy, chun…maybe not everyone has it.

Honestly, the majority of characters I have a really strong interest in are all DLC. Cody/Guy is almost the entire reason I preordered this game.

This game is very, very, VERY jump happy (at least in this early stage ofc). A lot of characters from the tekken cast have trouble anti-airing, jump arcs seem faster or it’s just there’s so much shit on screen it’s harder to react to, and the risk reward from getting anti-aired with a dp isn’t all that bad.

So all that rambling was just to say that if cody’s b.mp has a hitbox that half as good as sf4’s he’s gonna be awesome in this game.

while anti airing is actually harder (as it’ll trade prolly more often) it’s also way more rewarding as in that the opponent will be in juggle state afterwards (if it’s a counter hit). so the risk/reward you get from jumping is actually worse then in sf4 IMO. on a high level I can see it’ll become kinda like ST footsie heavy.
