I dunno if people thought Makoto was going to be good, but IMO she is total ass. She is basically fixed in place unless you dash, doesn’t do much damage, crap footsies, her command grab is pretty junk in SF4 because everyone is always mashing throw…
I just do c.fierce into fierce criminal upper. Nothing fancy, but hella good damage. If I have ultra I’ll just ultra.
i don’t know if people have mention this already but you can link a c.lk after a c.hp just like cammy
the bnb i been using is (after a cross-up or jump-in) c.hp , c.lk xx HK RK fadc MK RK or ultra
i do the c.lk for hit confirming … if it hits then i continue, if c.hp is blocked then i’ll cancel c.lk to lp CU (this leaves me so far from them)

I didn’t see it posted anywhere, but I just found out you can also link c.HK from f.MP. This is a great link to master IMO, b/c I dunno how many times I’ve poked successfully with f.MP, only to be too far away to follow up with anything. Now I can combo into a sweep, and for good damage too. Sorry if it’s been posted already.
Here’s an air reset I love to do:
[Anything], HK Ruffian Kick, FADC, F+MP…
Then you can do:
…F+HP(overhead)
…Dash, tick throw
…LK Ruffian Kick
…Jump-in
…Bad Stone
Just to name a few.

Just thought I’d quickly mention how conveniently c.mp seems to go through Blanka’s electricity.
If you hit the F+MP high and do jump-in+MK right afterwards, you’ll land in front of them but if you walk forward a bit before the F+MP and then jump it’ll cross up. It might be character-specific though I don’t have time to test it right now, but it works on Honda and Ryu.
**EDIT: **The cross-up won’t work if the HK Ruffian hits from too far away.

Okay I tested this a bit more and that’s not it.
You don’t have to delay the F+MP to cross-up, you only need to add a small step forward after it and before the jump and it will cross up.
Yeah this is about where I am with my skills, but thanks to everyone else for the other suggestions.
On a random note, Dudley’s rose causes you to drop the knife. Profound sadness for me since I spam it a lot right now in that matchup.

Hey, i’m new to SF4 and looking for a bit of execution help.
Is there a short cut input for HK RK -> FADC -> Ultra1? Or do I just have to slug it out and tighten up my execution? What exactly should the notation look like? I feel like it comes out really sloppily when I do manage to perform it.
Also, am I correct in using J.HP for anti-air, J.MK for crossups, and J.HK for standard jump-ins?
