I have a first gen case and have no tarnishes on it whatsoever, it is also anondized black. so it looks shiny like new.

I’m wondering if I were to remove the top panel, you know where you mount the joystick to. How much space is there between the top of the corner posts and the top edge of the case?

I’d like to replace the Aluminum top panel that’d normally come with the case with a plexi one+another piece to sandwich some art between and have it flush with the top edge of the case.
So if i understand correctly you want to replace the top alum panel with a plexi and put some art on that plexi and another top plexi? I guess you could but i dont understand why you want to rpelace teh alum top panel?
The cases are custom mfg, w/out the top alum panel the case would not hold, and i’m not sure where you plan to go to get that top plexi panel custom made to fit this case.
Also would it be possible for me to place an order for a plain aluminum one without the top panel for a discounted price? sorry no.
Correct, I had a lighting mod in which i would sandwich rice paper between the 2 layers, and have LEDs light it up from inside that fade between colors.
So i guess another question is, aren’t the sides held together by corner blocks screwed into each side? The one I had from gamingnow, which I think was one of yours, was setup that way. Like this.

but to answer your question, the sides do hold, but its the top plate that makes the case solid.
Do you have a picture of what you current have? i’m curious as to what it looks like with the llights and so forth…
And sorry, the case will be sold as complete… But you can sell the top panel to others if you like.

Thanks, i worked really hard on that pic, hehe. So if the corners are built like that, how much space is in the area i pointed out? I’m kinda hoping it’d be exactly 3/8, so i could use a 1/4" sheet and a 1/8" sheet for my mod idea.
I don’t have any pics of it, cause i mistyped. It was a mod I had in mind. Basically imagine a slow fade between colors though.

I was wondering if you could give me exact dimensions for the bottom acrylic piece? One of the companies I do work for does steel fabrication, so I might look into the cost of getting the bottom plate made from stainless steel.

Got some leftover 3mm aluminum sheets here which would make nice bottom-plates!

Edit: Quick question, will the issue with Sanwa buttons in the 24mm holes outlined in post #76 on page 4 be fixed on this run of cases or should I just order Seimitsu’s for those?
