One of the stickies is “Need to get something anno’d?” That has a list of companies. A lot of them will offer cool stuff like masking/laser engraving/splashes/acid washes for some pretty cool effects(but at a price.)
I’m interested! I’ve soldered before but never built a stick so this should be a fun project! Can anyone provide specs of a TE compared to this one of:
At first glance, when I flipped through this thread, I thought you were CNC milling these out of single pieces of aluminum. I didn’t understand how you could get away with only charging your first price for something like that! haha…
Very nice work. I’d love to see someone take a series of sanding stages to their assembled case and hit it with some rouge on a spun sewn and open sewn buffer for a mirror finish before annodizing.
I work with polished stainless. It’s a bit of a chore to get stainless to buff out, but aluminum works so nicely.
I might add my name to the list if i mess up painting my blank case. I have a couple of questions.
When you say no top/bottom plexi does that mean nothing is covering the bottom, and we have to buy bottom plexi form Art?
Is the bare aluminum top too cold to play on, esp. in winter?
How much would do you think a top and bottom plexi would cost from Art?
How much do you think shipping is to New York City?

Is the bare aluminum top too cold to play on, esp. in winter? ehhh I dunno, It’s like sitting on a leather couch i suppose, at first it’s cold but it warms up?
How much would do you think a top and bottom plexi would cost from Art? Not sure, I can work w/ art to setup a GB
How much do you think shipping is to New York City? I use USPS Flat rate Priority Mail shipping 10-12 i believe.
You can check. It will be shipped form San Jose Ca 95133. I dont intend to make any money on shipping, Just enough to cover all cost for packaging and shipping the unit. Weight of item is ~5-7lbs. I believe USPS has an option for flat rate for ~$20 but dont quote me on that.
