Only point characters can hit you as a cross up essentially. An assist can’t go behind you and cross you up on its own. The point character moves behind you and the assist falls down on top of you while you’re blocking the point character the wrong way.
If you’re holding forward while I call an assist at you you’re going to get hit, correct? That’s basically all Vergil + Strider is trying to do. Vergil is trying to move behind you so you walk forward into Strider instead of blocking him.
These types of adjacent hit box cross ups are possible in SFIV and are essentially just more prominent in this game.
I’m having trouble finding a bnb with strider than can be used anywhere on screen. i feel like all of striders combos are screen placement dependent and that would just throw me off all the time in battle.
is the only thing he has the excalibur loop bnb? That combo is dumb. lol.
ive been trying to get the basic mhs-m double jump h s-form b wall cling-lmh-wall bounce combo down but i keep messing it up. i get it from time to time but i wanted to know if anyone could get me some advice?
Whats a common mistake people make?
Also, what are good assists to place with strider other then the usual drones and missiles.
Strider is a character you almost will always have to make adjustments to your combos to achieve the most damage. He’s not a one dimensional combo flowchart master like zero…all you need to know is a midscreen and a corner combo…
The problem is, I don’t think anyone has optimized his solo non-XF combos because he is mostly used as anchor and most of the ‘optimized’ combos out there all consist of having a satellite charged. I’d be happy to experiment with combos since Hiryu’s my fave character but my lack of a console and execution hinders me from making them. QQ
Pervy what are you using for consistent pressure on point? seems like the only way to keep him safe is to use the orb toss and the only way to get great damage is to have the orb summoned so just curious as to what you’re using to open people up. when strider is out usually i have vergil/zero behind him zero with powered up B assist.
It depends on who I run anchor really. I switch between mags or sentinel. They’re both equally good assists but I think mags fits better with Dante. With mags you can get orb combos because beam makes anything you do actually safe. I’m thinking about starting my video series this week. Would ya’ll like to see strider on point team or strider on anchor?
Well I’m going to do one video per team every once in a while. I really only have 4 or so solid teams but I want to be thorough. Ill probably do on point first and I could probably squeeze a lot of variations in one vid.
I am pretty chill. I’m just being completely honest. If you can’t kill your opponent with one of the fastest characters in the game, in the easiest fighing game of the generation, with a 55% damage boost and 45% speed boost you should honestly stop playing FG’s.
It’s like if you can’t kill your opponent with Level 4 xfactor wesker.
You’re not being honest. You are using someone’s ignorance as an excuse to insult and attack. That’s not good behavior, and it doesn’t benefit the strider forums in any way. We all have our moments when we want to lash out and we do wrong. So I’ll assume that’s all it was and reiterate.
lol wut.
Nope, still pretty damn serious and chill. I’m not using anyone’s ignoance to do anything, it’s a simply a petty truthful statement. If you can’t kill you opponent with Level 3 xfactor strider or wesker you should probably quit FG’s.
So what? I’m being blunt and truthful. IF you can’t TOD w/ two of the easiest and most braindead characters in the game, you should probably quit the game itself.
