Back to STRIDER, anyone got any base damage stats for any of his moves?
So does anyone have any info on Strider’s other assists? So far I’ve only heard that Vajra tracks and groundbounces airborne opponents, but what about his other two assists?

Gram is another assist. If it’s the same as MVC2 then Ame-no-Murakamo will be the other one. I’ll wait for confirmation before I put assists in the 1st post.
Also, am I the only one hoping Strider has his Midare-Giri (AKA Savage Slash) from Strider 2? He really ought to.

I called that move Vagula since mvc1 ad that was based on the millions of faqs and strats i read about him. I think it’s called Vagula in the move list menu of mvc1.
Anyway, that move seems like a good assist for spiderman if it causes ground bounce.
So is there any info on the properties of the other two assists? Does Gram cause hard or soft knockdown? I ask because I’m not gonna want to use Vajira/Vagula on my Dante team because…Dante loves his groundbounce :p.
Gram wallbounces and Ame-no-Murakamo Groudbounces as well…I think
I forget but…If you’ve already used your wallbounce in a combo then any other “wall bounce” moves will cause soft knockdown right?
Either way it sounds so erotically sexy, it’s wrong.
Strider/Spiderman sounds cool too. Spiderman has some good buffs on him that he maybe a good guy to use with strider. And Strider and Spiderman on the same team is pretty cool anyway. I like Spiderman’s web ball assist… maybe ryu would be a good 3rd character due to his Tatsu and potential comeback/ancoring ability, eh?
The DHC’s sound pretty good. I assume Legion can connect to MS, and Vice versa.

These are the characters i’m interested in working with strider:
Ryu, Sentinel, Spiderman, Zero, Dante, Task, Doom, X-23, Vergil, Magneto, Dormammu, Ghost rider.
As of now, my top ideal teams are
Strider/Ryu/Sentinel - In my imagination, this team looks solid. Tatsu assist may be very great for strider (just like how Akuma is to wolverine), and it can also power up. Ryu and Sentinel are not as execution heavy in comparison to Magneto, Doom, and Dante and they are known to have capabilities in turning tables. Ryu has been buffed up in UMVC3, so he can increase his power as an assist, and also DHCing.This team seems the most solid in my mind at the moment.
Strider/Spiderman/?? - just because of the fact that Spiderman and Strider are pairs in this vs series ever since the 1st. I love MVC3 spiderman also, he has practically the coolest looking rushdowns i’ve seen in this game, and i love his alts. I heard he has allot of buffs to in UMVC3 so that is a plus.
Strider/GhostRider/Dormammu - it also sounds solid too. Dormammu is one of the coolest characters in the game, and he can power up on air now. Ghost rider’s chain assist maybe good for strider. I don’t know if it has any “get over here” properties though…
Zero/Strider/Dante - I’m good at using Zero, he was the character that helped me manage in a vs series with out strider. We have the cool-sword gimmick team here, and it looks like it can wrack up damage well. My main problem with this team is the vitality and i suck horribly with Dante. I don’t know how strider does as an assist either, if he can be some what reliable or suit a certain purpose for Zero or Dante.
Strider/Dante/Task - this probably could be better, strider has a good Vertical screen - pillar assist and another good vertical assist to keep his ground control. The vitality and versatileness of assists seems better also.
Strider/Dante,Zero,Task/Vergil - Any team with vergil is a mystery until he is revealed.
Strider/Doom - probably for nostalgic purposes. Doom is great now on point and he has a variety of assists that benefit very well… Doom has been seriously buffed in UMVC3 so he may be a greater ally than he was in MVC2.
Right now, my top 3 are Strider/Ryu/Sent, Strider/Spiderman/some body, and
Strider/Dante or Vergil/Task
I like all of these teams but i really wanna try
Shulk/Strider/Ammy
Zero/Strider/Ammy
Zero/Strider/Ryu
Strider/Ammy/Ryu
Shulk/Strider/Trish
Feels a little tiers in here.
I’m exploring the potential for Zero Chris Strider – any advice on assists? I haven’t been humping the Ultimate streams so I don’t know much about assists that would support Strider/Strider assists that would support Zero or Chris.
