EX-ST can beat crouched kicks provided they’re not hitting from the first frame. But it won’t beat most crouched punch, and certainly not mid or higher attacks.
There is something right about what Haztlan said. I do remember Jozhear saying Vega was top tier. And then he felt so bad that top tier crap that he wanted to counterpick half of the cast. And some said he even retired.
What are you afraid of ? Do you think a shitty 1 frame link non chainable jab, which can be grabbed or jabbed on block is OP ? Do you think non invincible non FADC-able reversal is OP ? What about no B’nB leading to comboable ultra, OP as well ? What about close sHK being nerfed just to ensure it wouldn’t be a suitable aa ? What about a reversal who can’t be used as a reversal ? What about 1 frame link FADC combos, whereas other character can score a crumple out of it ? Does he have semi-infinites combos ? Is max +2 on block that OP compared to the +3/+4 a lot of chars have ? Where is the safe on block, comboable overhead ? Where is the safe, almost instant level two focus ? Where is our cross-up jump in ? Where is the overpower which allowed so many Claw players to win majors ? Are you all serious ? Do you all feel satisfied with Claw performance in majors ?
We have lot of good players here, and by playing such an underdog character a lot of us must have become used to outsmart our opponents. The problem is, once we face opponents just as smart, and just as good, then character possibilities take all their dimension.
I understand each character must have weaknesses, but even Dan is not as imbalanced as Claw. Every char (ultras put aside), has at least one EX reversal with at least partial body invincibility, or invincibility to physical attacks, or good against jump-ins. Even el fuerte, and even Dhalsim. We have mad unsafe flips which can’t even be reversed ! I’ll understand our jabs/short being not chainable, and with so poor frame advantage… but then are our far attacks comparable to others characters close ones ?
Why is it that we have to design frame perfect setups just to be able to cross-up, or to jump in on someone ?
I’m not asking for a cross-up, nor DP FADC into ultra, nor comboable overhead, not chainable jab, nor decent frame advantage at close range, nor anything like that. But just something which would allow claw being cornered not being the end of the match, and something to make claw FADC game worth it. Is that too much to ask ?
Anyway, regardless of our differents wishes, I would be nice if someone whitch a capcom unity forum account transmitted them to Capcom. At least to let them know. =)
